Rating: Explicit Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply (see additional tags) Relationships: Deimos/Helios (Starfighter), Helios & Selene (Starfighter) Summary: Post-Eclipse, Helios wonders if he'll ever get another chance with Deimos, who he hasn't been able to stop thinking about since they worked together to save the ship. He asks around, and eventually gets to talk (and more) with Deimos again. It looks like he might just have a chance to get to know the other fighter better. Ta da! My first fic is now posted to AO3, thanks to a good friend who sent me a direct invitation to create an account. 

This is sort of a fix-it or continuation from where the Deimos route in Starfighter: Eclipse leaves off. I wasn’t satisfied by their ending in the game, and couldn’t get it out of my head. Which lead to me writing this 8.6k word monster (probably half of which is shameless smut), more than half of it during a night of insomnia where the plot just wouldn’t leave my brain until I committed it to the word processor.

I know I’m 2 years late to the Eclipse party; even though I was one of the Kickstarter backers, I hadn’t gotten around to playing it until now. Hopefully this isn’t completely uninteresting at this point! I was actually surprised by how much Eclipse sucked me back into the Starfighter universe. Even though I have been following the comic updates for years, I never thought to look up fic for it. What was even more interesting was just how affecting I found the Deimos plot to be. I know he’s a fan favourite character, and I enjoy him in the comic, but I never got the obsession until now. Something about the way he and Helios interacted just hit home for me. 

Ohoho, it’s been a while since I played SF:Eclipse, so I don’t want to misinform you. And it’s mildly spoilery from here on out :I But from what I remember, that panel comes after a while through the story. Basically, the premise is that Abel is being controlled by some weird alien thing that makes him super violent and drives him to want to kill everyone on board the ship. This ending happens when Helios and Cain confront Abel, and if I’m not wrong, it happens when Abel pins Cain down in the hallway and demands stuff that Cain refuses to do because he notices that Abel isn’t behaving like himself. If you make the wrong choice at that path (I think it’s like… decide to stay and watch Abel and Cain getting frisky, rather than walk away, which would be the right choice), Abel knocks Helios and Cain out. When Helios comes to, he’s tied to Cain, who is bloodied and unresponsive (not specified if he’s still alive or not), and Abel talks to him a little bit before the screen fades to black, and a crunching noise is heard. Then, the game over screen appears.
