If you follow or have searched the starfighter tag recently, you may have encountered material that you didn't expect. For those of you who don't already know about this, this is because there are now two different fandoms posting in the same tag.
The older one, the 18+ webcomic and dating sim by Hamletmachine, has been using this tag for well over a decade, although the fandom is barely active at all anymore. The newer one, Star Wars: Starfighter, is an upcoming mainstream movie, and the fandom will probably be very active once the movie comes out. The tag is also sometimes used by people posting pictures of starfighters that are not affiliated with any particular fandom.
I'm asking people from both fandoms (if you can see this post) to tag your posts with something more specific than just "starfighter," even if you also tag with "starfighter." For the comic and dating sim this would be "starfighter comic" and "starfighter eclipse." For the movie it could be "star wars starfighter" or "sw starfighter"--something like that.
This is important not just to avoid the disappointment of seeing the wrong fandom's posts, but because I'm sure there will be minors following the Star Wars tag and we don't want them looking at posts about the webcomic or the dating sim. Most of the recent posts that I've seen are sfw but it's still a bad idea because the canon is not. If you're a minor following the movie fandom, please blacklist the "starfighter comic" and "starfighter eclipse" tags.
