There is; nothing inherently political about a trans person.
Like, big, no shit moment, but I just saw a vid by shenpai about toxic positivity. And like;
Yes. There is intense politics surrounding trans people, their interactions and so on. They are a hot topic, because similar to religion, it is a deeply personal relationship between the self, the conscious idea and broader society.
With the key questions, and their answers, that will impact future generations and either. Shift the cycle into the right positon, or perpetuate a system that is inherently flawed and must changed to a later date, or maybe shfit the positioning backwards.
Beware; long
The funny thing is; being trans or queer isn't political. It's just the question of your preference and the question of whether you, as a person can decide for other people to decide their preference.
I personally hold the position that; unless it directly impacts my situation. Some dude wearing a dress; skirt. Whatever. Not my problem, bit weird you're wearing a kilt. In winter. Without anything to keep your legs warm, but that aint my problem.
But if someone wants to walk around naked; middle of the day; that's a bit weird innit. Like. Naked dude, middle of the night.
I ain't judging, but it's weird in the sense our present society seems wearing clothes as "the norm".
And apply this with all the weird shit in life I am not going to try and label, because that'd just be the boat listing of a post.
Like.
Someone realising that they prefer their bodies as the opposing gender, taking steps to not only understand their preference, but adjust their perceptions to their comfort levels.
Whether that's "the right appearance" or not.
Not my fucking problem.
If I run a social media platform, where these people exist, and there's enough false reports against people.
If one fucking account is making the same lurid note that, oh noes, an adult marked account is showing their tits in their images. That's not safe for work.
You're wasting my time, infraction noted.l.
But if several people in a community are being incredibly toxic and shit, well it depends. Is it amusing?
Eg; something that may not be something I agree with, but there are merits I can judge this thing off of that justifies them in one sense or another; eg. There's a community of people who exclusively crack racist jokes, the kind of horrible things that the creator, moderator and etc are all taking the piss out of and it's apparent in the goddamn pinned and shit. Is that weird. Yes, absolutely.
But am I going to judge people for demarcating a section for non socially acceptable jokes?
Fuck no.
If there's a repeated element of X or y type jokes, and something bad happens. Well, there were signs, and if someone gets offended. Block button. Don't join that community.
Otherwise; idgaf.
But grey areas; idk.
A decent community has a broad tag that covers that kind of extreme shit, and the normal fandom stuff. Again.
Block lists, tag filtering. All these are options, and if you don't want to use them, suffering this bullshit. Ok, fine. Whatever. Suffer.
But if U keep reporting the same type of posts, refusing to use the tools to prevent this great offense you keep reporting as an offense.
Well.
Either you're a stupid idiot who can't register, that as an adult, you will see adult content you won't agree with. There are ways to not see this content. There are processes available to you.
If you don't want deal with a more extremist trans person in a social setting, ignore them, communicate that you do not wish to interact. And keep your distance.
Equally; just block them. Also equally. Filter out certain tags. Be aware you are filtering all context from those tags, so if you want to maintain a friendship without that area they are interested in. Kudos to ya.
This is all to say; I don't get what's the big fucking deal, why bother making any emphasis that oh, I support trans people. And gays. And etc.
"... My opinion is that they do in fact exist, and I don't really care."
If someone is willing to be comfortable enough in your community to talk about something that is, generally speaking, a sensitive issue. Whether that be a young teenager who bypassed the not-stealing-more-data-for-some-fucking-reason blocks. And they're expressing oh, I'm trans btw or sm.
If U have previously removed comments because they're not related to the video. Or U made clear U don't want that, there's a discord and etc for that shit. Kudos to ya.
But if U say "oh, it's political." As in. Idk; people keep making it a whole problem, flames rise up, and you end up removing comments.
Fair.
But, y'know, as a content creator, as someone with a platform. Consider the following.
You are not just in a vacuum.
Your actions have consequences.
What is it you want?
Because demarcation is not just a long term. It means, to mark out a section, cutting it, removing it from the broader whole, segmenting it for a related, but unique purpose.
Whether that be a clips channel for editors who need easier work. Or whatever reason.
If U, someone who has developed a content creation platform surrounding topic, like positivity. Even when that comes something inarguably negative, like supporting Nazis or some shit.
First question; what is the problem; what is your concern.
Is it that political flame war is not something you want, in which case. Demarcation, find good people, moderators and set clear rules.
Rules don't need to be firm, more guidelines. Helpers suggesting a conversation move to the discord or sm, or a different channel.
If it's a seperation from politics. Two questions.
How involved are you in politics.
What impact do you want?
I am well aware this is long as; but if U refuse people on basis that they're trans and that's political. So fuck off.
I personally hold that's dumb, but if there's rules; you've stated before your stance on X or y in the comments. Fair enough, even if there weren't that, fair enough.
I ain't the content creator.
But if U want say; an inclusive, welcoming space: but cut down. Certain topics from being discussed. That's fair and part of your societal requirement. Because fuck those cover band dumb 1940 loser cosplayers.
But what politics are there; as a queer person? Who actually gives a fuck if someone comes out as [buzzword queer words].
Does it matter that someone finds all people attractive?
Now if that person comes out, makes it their whole thing, or edges the line enough you don't notice they're a problem.
Until the Google doc comes out, and a short record by someone just cataloguing the shady shit and pattern. And that, hey, this person isn't a Nazi. But they've never argued against them when they showed up, directed the conversation away each time and didn't talk about it until prompted. Which yeah, fair.
But look at how consistently they've done that, with the same tactics.
Either they're, y'know, a child who is really good at playing the bit. Or... Y'know.
Sometimes Occam's razor is the only real answer.
Now; all of this is quite long; none of it intends to throw whatever. But.
Like; this is based from my opinion; I don't form opinions, until I have answers. And even then, I prefer having specific opinions based on those facts.
Like in general; capitalism is the best economic system, for a reason. The idea innovations will Reagan to us is naive for a reason and. In my opinion, while GENERATIVE AI does have a place within society, it is, in my opinion. Been overstated.
It appears to me that no, a human equivalent artificial intelligence is not possible from what is, in my opinion, stolen and unethically sourced data.
I do not care what good Generative AI may have, this is not the industrial revolution, where the peasantry was being transformed into a situation unarguably better the previous generation. The evolving understanding, raising of multiple lower classes of people into a tenible threat against the elites is what I view as an equal trade off.
We are better than the genocidal generations that perpetuated the same fucking assholes who threw a people out of a land they lived in for generations.
Back to the main point;
Queer people, trans or not, but trans to attract arguments by those who don't read into this. They are not inherently political. There are elements that are, conflicts with the proposed Norm, and the reality.
Something I am personally not surprised broader society hasn't questioned, because I didn't even realise this was a problem.
Like, oh no, someone being gender non conforming makes me feels different. Partly uncomfortable. Hm, weird. That's not the normal reaction to this new stimulus. Confusion and curiosity are minimal, it's largely this bundle of emotion, and uncomfortable sensation.
I look into it, the community and otherwise.
Huh, people are holding strong opinions and arguing, not discussing. But this reminds me of that religious thing I'm also looking into. Weird. I thought our... No. That makes sense. Societies have been declaring themselves as civilized and better than the last for generations. It's usually a little slower than the initial declaration.
Do you think Woe to the People of Order (Technoblade ballad song) is like. Considered an ancient warrior funeral rite song from before humanity's dark age? In Warhammer 40k?
