#sequel meme

The script for this short comic has been sitting in my WIPs for months. I've delayed due to a mixture of a lack of motivation and some fear of backlash for producing reylo content. . But... If I'm not on social media to be as cringe as my heart desires, what's even the point? . I wouldn't say that I am a Reylo Shipper; but now that it is canon, I have to admit that I am somewhat compelled by the ship. Namely, what the hell would their relationship be like? I want to grasp and shake the shoulders of Micky Mouse and ask how the hell things would work between these two. There's so much narrative potential. What is date night like between the son of a princess and a desert scavenger? . I need to know.

I just need the need to precise that if I pick the option "a sequel/series/more please", it's with the vain hope of assuming "done with a good team and a good budget"...

Okay, "deserves one" is kinda pushing it, but since I read the book series... I know there is a lot more to tell!! While I like the movie as it is, I can objectively understand why many people aren't a big fan of it, and even as an adaptation, it's a bit average.

Those asides, the story is far from over and it would be nice to have either a series - which would allow starting anew, introduce the world of the story to the audience better and develop each character at a good pace!

Snow White

Oh dear, Snow White being the very first long movie of Disney, it's quite "sacred" and shouldn't be messed with!

I think there are some comics that expand a bit on Snow White and the Dwarves, I haven't had the chance to read them though, I'd be curious to do so! And to learn more about Snow's prince too. I picked the "prequel or spin-off", but not necessarily 1-hour long! I would like to see a short movie that shows the origins of the Evil Queen and how she became SW's step-mother or SW's parents and childhood for example. If there's something that I'd be curious about as a sequel (short, mid or long), it would be "what about the mirror, does it keep messing around or is it not an evil thing?"

Sleeping Beauty

THIS ONE IS SO TRICKY!! I love the movie as it is and I don't think it needs a sequel at all, but I admit that I wouldn't mind having a story where Aurora (or Briar Rose) gets to be the protagonist/heroine instead of a key character. Plus, Perrault's version of Sleeping Beauty expands a bit after the Princess is awakened, so why not take some inspiration from it? And have Aurora more active in it without making her a "StrOnG WoMAn".

Beauty and the Beast

This movie is wonderful on its own, it didn't need any sequel! A small expanded universe maybe, but instead of making some cute and interesting short movies or short novels, they made these 1-hour tortures!! I didn't watch the 3rd movie, thankfully, I let some critics suffer in my place (lmao), and the few I've seen made my skin crawl. Thanks for making Belle show Stockholm syndrome signs, I hate it!!!

LM 2: showing how Ariel is adapting after leaving for a very different world would have been interesting to follow, but they chose to make Melody pull an Ariel (even if she had a better reason to be fascinated by the sea!). And even if you keep the movie until Melody runs from home, I think it would have been more interesting to redeem Morgana with her and Melody bounding, Morgana realizing that she doesn't need her mother's approval anymore and moving on. Melody had good potential as a heroine, but they made her too similar to Ariel or took the spotlight away from her with silly sidekicks.

LM 3: I liked seeing more of Ariel's sisters, a shame the settling is so lame! Like seriously, why make Triton even worse than what he was in the first movie?! And the whole plot makes Ariel seems like a moody teenager who only is interested in what her father forbids, NO! And the title "Ariel's beginning", beginning of what? She doesn't care that much for music in the first movie, it's also making her versatile and spoiled! The French title "Ariel's secret" is worse! XD I wished to see how and why Ariel became so passionate about the human world!
