Self organization is self management

know why you do what you do, otherwise you're not self managing and self directed, you're just following another methodology

I have used the self-organizing nature of Scrum to move from a Type A Scrum (winning teams) to a Type B Scrum (winning product portfolios) to a Type C Scrum (winning companies)

I think of Ilya Prigogine's comments that so long as a system is stable, or at an equilibrium, you can't change it, but as it moves toward disequilibrium and falls into chaos then the slightest bit of coherent energy can bring it into a new structure.
