A friend's friend has a cat now because her bf brought the kitten home. It was a "surprise". They barely lived together and her bf, about 20 years older (mid 40s), went into inpatient care and left her alone with the cat, while she had to work 5-6 days a week 8am-7pm.
I don't care about the age gap. Both are mentally not ready for a relationship. They are so far away from okay.
She can't work due to her chronic mental health shit but her "loving" bf got a cat she has to care for because he got it and won't be there for a couple of month.
I never met the guy. He's a veteran and has a lot of problems but that doesn't excuse his bs and how he treats his gf.
She's from a very abusive household and he uses her to housesit and take care of the cat.
I feel sorry for her because I also grew up with a very abusive and manipulative mother just like her.
She's in her mid 20s and can't differentiate between genuine affection and bullshit.
I bearly get social cues but this woman is traumatised.
She repeats this circle with her shitty bf.
I don't think he's a bad person but he got a lot of issues he should work on. I don't want him to push everything on her ... Household, plus cat, and her very own problems while he's gone for about four month.
My friend, not the gf of this sad little man, asks me to not be too mean towards him.
I love you, J, but fuck this.
