Since the theme is special today, I decided to post references on my selfship and AU (and then continue writing a master post on these fools) Next theme - Free
Here it is. The rest of the story. Also warning for murder, gaslighting, cannibalism, depression, mental health issues, su!cide, and more.
Volume 1:
After Alan and Flora reach the food box, she realizes she forgot to bring money, making her panick and tell alan that she doesn't want anything. Alan, sensing the bs, gets her an ice cream sandwich because he saw her stare at it for too long. She accepts it embarrassedly. In the parking lot, she shares her ice cream, and Alan reveals that he stole a few chocolate bars, and tries to share. But this does not get the desired reaction, because Flora is a goody two shoes. She's having a moral dilemma because stealing is bad but Alan doesn't look like a bad person and she's trying so hard to stay chill because she's afraid of overreacting. So she declines politely, and Alan sees this and his face drops, and the air is a little awkward now. As they leave, he takes a bite of the chocolate bar but grimaces and throws it in the trash, saying "this one tastes bitter".
This is where the specific scripting ends and the vague plot points begin.
While The two are hanging out in the forest one day, Flora gets a call from Erika, asking her to come. Flora feels a lil guilty because she doesn't want to leave alan but she doesn't wanna leave erika so she just brings him along. Alan is mad but doesn't show it. When they get there, bam, turns out stu is also there. Flora is overjoyed to see her best friend again and immediately tackles him into a bear hug, and the two are giddy. As they're hugging, stu feels a strange presence and looks up, seeing alan looming over Flora, staring at him with murder in his eyes. Stu is understandably creeped out. Flora is like oh this is my new friend Alan:D while pointing at the 185 cm tall feral wolf looking forest weirdo. Both erika and stu are just like. Hmm. And Alan just continues to stare into their souls. Flora, ever the oblivious, continues prattling on about how they'll all be besties together and stuff. They all nod but you can tell that no way they will ever be friends.
Alan and Flora's friendship becomes stronger as the days pass, and Alan talks to her about his past, making Flora more emotionally invested and attached, because to her, him being emotionally vulnerable equals commitment which means he won't just drift away from her. Yay :D also she's very much concerned for him and comforts him, which hits him in the feels. And no Flora will not be talking about her load. Not yet.
One day, Alan sees Flora getting into her car, and he asks where she's going. She sais she's going to visit her family back hometown because her younger brother broke his leg. He sais OK bye but secretly follows her there. After some time, we see Flora spiraling on a park bench and surprise surprise, Alan comes up to her. She's like whoa why are you here. He's like oh I had some business here. I didn't know this is your hometown. And of course she believes him because why would anyone lie? Also she's too emotionally distressed to think about anything else. He asks her what's wrong, and she tries to pretend nothing happened, but after some convincing, her desire to vent wins and she tells him that she had a falling out with her family. We get some flashbacks of her parents arguing with her, about how she never visits them. How she doesn't care about them. How she likes that cat more than them. Oh no. They crossed a line. She snapped at that and started spewing out 10 year's worth of underlying resentment. And also turns out that she used to have a cat that she raised ever since he was 4 weeks old. But then when she left for college and came back to visit after her first week, turns out, they "got rid of him". Without telling her. Because they didn't see why they should. I mean. It's just an animal. So when she came back and they told her, she started crying. Which made them laugh at her and berate her. So she shut up about it but she didn't forgive them, which was the main reason why she didn't visit them again while at college. And also a bunch of other stuff. But that's too much truama to unpack right now. But anyways after she finally let all her resentment out, her parents are shocked, and her mother sais come here (so I can beat your ungrateful ass). But Flora realizes that she doesn't have to. She's a grown woman who doesn't live here anymore. So she sais no. And her mother, seeing this last act of defiance, tells her to never show her face here ever again. So Flora left, walking calmly, as she still hasn't processed this, but then she crashes out on a park bench, which brings us to the present. Damn. That's tough buddy. Alan is of course sorry for her, but there's also this twisted satisfaction that she's also estranged from her family, just like him. Now she has no one. No one but her friends. Hmm. He's gonna have to do something about that. But in the meantime, he's gonna comfort her, get her back to doomsbury, and be there for her.
New development :D Flora finally opens up. Seeing as she's already opened up about her family, she opens up about her depression, that she's su!cidal and the s/h, her struggles with people, because she's good at making friends but struggles with keeping them, how everyone ends up leaving her, how the last time she tried to vent to someone they didn't take her seriously. The only person close to her is stu, but she doesn't wanna fully open up to him because she doesn't wanna burden him. And a bunch of other stuff that I haven't figured out and will never get to figure out. If you notice any plot holes, please don't say anything, because it's not like this story will ever be finalized.
Okay so at this point Alan and Flora are very much close, a little dependent on each other, very comfortable around one another.
Stu and Flora are chilling, and stu decides to speak out his concerns about Alan. He talks about how she's always giving her kindness to people who don't deserve it, and that sometimes people are loners for a reason. He brings up the time she befriended the girl with lice because she didn't want her to be alone, and ended up getting really bad lice herself (that actually happened to me) or the time she tried to feed a dog with rabies and almost got bit (that also happened to me. But it wasn't rabies). Flora is like damn. You make a good point. But nah, this is different. Like, we gotta give people chances, and I'm confident that Alan is a good person and stuff (girl run you're delulu). And as stu is about to argue back, she reminds him that he was alone too when she befriended him. She gave him a chance, and that turned out all right didn't it? At this, stu softens and just tells her to be careful.
During this whole volume, Alan is absolutely I love with Flora, but she oblivious as heck, I mean, she also likes him him, but still, oblivious. At the end of the volume, Alan realises he has to be more obvious so he straight up confesses, and yay kiss kiss fall in love :D (Big mistake)
And that's the end of volume 1
Volume 2:
Alan is thinking about getting rid of her friends. So he makes a plan, starting with stu. He sneaks into stu's room, while the place is empty except for stu, chokes him to death, makes a noose and makes it look like he killed himself, then writes a suicide letter, kind of blaming Flora, where Alan exploits her worry that she's not a good enough friend, making it look like stu was condemning Flora for not being there for him and stuff. The whole time, he's like ew, this is the first time I'm doing a murder that's so planned out, usually I just cut their head off and throw them in a ditch. Ah, the things you do for love. So then the next day the police are here and they break the news to Flora and everyone reads the letter and she is completely and utterly crushed, and stu' mom and sister are also there and they stare at her with hurt, and she's like guys no and they're like how could you and bang now she's sitting on the floor in an alleyway in a catatonic state, and of course, who's there? Alan. He picks her up and takes her home since you know, she's catatonic. Out of it. He stays for a few days, looking after her. Gathering the shattered pieces in her arms like he wasn't the one who did that in the first place. Well. It got the desired effect. For Alan atleast. She's pretty much clinging on him for dear life. Great. Now erika.
So basically erika was like hmm, no way would stu do that. Flora didn't question it because she already had a negative self image, but you can't fool erika. She's suspicious of Alan, so she starts investigating. She was already suspicious of him. But of course, Alan becomes aware that he has a stalker, so while walking into a secluded place, knowing she's following, he kills her. Wow. So easy. It's like she offered herself. Everything is going uphill for our boy.
Dang. Her two besties are gone, one dead and one missing. In the span of 2 months. It's all going downhill. The only thing keeping her from losing it is her loving boyfriend Alan. What an angel. Never left, never made her feel like a burden, took good care of her on the mornings she couldn't even get up, and the nights she was spiraling and crying. What would she do without him?
End of volume 2.
Volume 3:
Things are going back to normal, Flora is coming to terms with her grief, she's back at college, and she can go one day without crashing out. Yay :D looks like things are finally looking up!
Let's go on a walk in the woods, just like we always did :D
Alan is killing someone.
Oh dear lord.
Run.
So she runs into the forest, head spinning, a wild creature. Alan is like oh dang. But he loses track of her. And now she's deep in the forest.
Alan searches tirelessly for her, and ends up finding her 2 days later in a catatonic state high up in a tree. Half dead at this point. When she finally comes back, she finds herself in Alan's house, on his bed, restrained to the bedframe. Panick. Alan is like whoa chill chill I just did that because you're unstable and could hurt yourself. Also you might run away. And she's like bro, I am too weak to even lift a finger, untie me. I'm not dumb enough to try and run away. Alan flinches because this is his first time seeing her so serious and cold. So he does. And he explains to her, about how this is his job, and how he has to. She listens the whole time, with a moral dilemma. Just like the chocolate bar incident. Murder is bad, but she doesn't wanna believe Alan is a bad person, because she's too dependent and attached to him, so she feels guilty because she's defending someone who hurts people. So then some gaslighting ensues, and Flora accepts him.
Flora tries to live her life normally, now with the knowledge that her love is an assassin. But one day she's like okay I gotta get away from this so she tried to run away to her family but oh no. She can't. They disowned her, remember? And what if Alan kills them if she goes there? And she has no one left to turn to. She's all alone.
Here we introduce Sherlock. This guy who's been trying to solve all the disappearances in doomsbury. And he's so close to figuring it out, investigating Alan. He gets proof of Alan killing, and Flora, who happens to be in the woods, sees him and oh no, she can't let him expose Alan, or else she'll lose everything. So in a fit of desperation and complete loss kf all sanity, she brutally kills sherlock, ripping him apart with her bare hands (she has a lot of murderous energy she's been keeping inside her her whole life but she lets it all out). Still crazed, she doesn't even stop when he's dead, Biting off chucks of his flesh with her teeth, a bloodthirsty animal. Then we get the text "Deer, while being herbivores, are known to be opportunistic omnivores. When given the chance, they feast upon human flesh" (this is actually true, search it up).
Okay, so now that she calms down, the reality hits her. She just killed a guy. And brutally. Even drinking his blood and squishing his eyeballs. Oh no. What has she done?
So Alan finds her, next to the corpse of guy, having a panick attack, and he immediately runs to her where she tells him that he was going to expose him and that she killed him in a blind rage and oh no oh no oh no. Alan, like the bastard that he is, is pretty flattered. Like oh, she killed for me? Yay :D. So then he's embracing her, saying that she did the right thing, that this is love, that she's not bad. Just some good ol gaslighting. Alan, stop. That's supposed to be Jules' special move.
He takes her back to his house, washing her up, and they go to bed. Flora. You're too far in girl. It's over. So yeah Flora is too scared to go back into society, so Alan has her drop out of college, tying up all the loose ends, burning away all the traces of her existence, so that she can be just like him. The epitome of love. Also he carves his name onto her back.
And that's all I wrote. I guess they just live happily ever after in the cottage in the woods, and have kids, and yay :D. The End.
Of course, as it stands, I will not be making this story. I only posted this for closure. And because the plot points were too delicious to keep to myself. And now, this will be my last post dedicated to the MDHM fandom, as i am leaving. For my own good. Goodbye.

Snufkin never seems to have this issue
Part 2 of my touch starved lux comic! Everyone needs a hug. Even the God of light.
Part 1
sry if this doesn't make sense i am mildly intoxicatied at the moment
it really depends on whether or not it's okay to self ship with a minor character. to me. most of the time it's a red flag. but as someone in the jojo fandom, it's kind of silly to expect people not to ship w a character like jotaro. and to me it's fine esp because jjba is one of the shows with a canonically progressing timeline. the characters age inevitably. he is even shown as an adult after part 3. who cares if they put in the outfit that he wore in part 3.
like, if you ship with a character specifically written to be a child (eg that boy in part 6? emporio) then obviously it's not okay because he's a kid and that's fucked. but if it's w a character whose age would not be accurately guessed if you didn't have knowledge of the series beforehand? like jotaro? if jojo had removed the info about his age, i would have guessed he was in college. (esp in the OVA but that's another story)
TL;DR yeah don't ship w children but i think ther eis a little nuance when the characters' age is ambiguous
