Minor vent, but I lowk cannot stand when people get mad at and rip on Iroh for ‘not trying harder to change/fix’ Azula.

1) You are solely responsible for your own growth. Iroh is not the reason she was violent and was not in any position to tend her regardless of intentions. Within the context of the show itself, Azula showed absolutely zero remorse for her actions and similarly had no motivations to change as there was no consequence following her destructive nature. In order to be changed, the query in question has to desire it. She didn’t.

2) Azula LITERALLY tried to kill him, and was also attempting to kill his ward. Iroh did not owe her aid, and to infer as such is fucking weird imo.

TLDR: I don’t care how old she was or what the ‘explanation’ for her actions was she was a violent person who took pleasure in performing cruelty, and people who insist that that be other people responsibility seriously need to develop better critical thinking skills overall omg.
