A little breastfeeding humor.
I get sad at the thought of Bubba someday not nursing anymore. But I'm also ready for him to wean. 3,5 years!!
Almost 21 months with no end in sight. Bubba loves it still ❤
After breastfeeding & cosleeping for 2.5 years its coming to an end and I feel sad at time. People often think its only important to a child to cosleep and nurse but a mother has the first moment of letting go, only the first of many moments to come. When I originally decided to let tae self wean I figured i’d be nursing until graduation because of how much he loved his “booboo nilk” but here I am, awake at 6am because he never woke up to come into our bed and when I rolled over and realized he wasn’t there I became wide awake. You spend ALL this time waiting until you can finally sleep and then can’t sleep anyways ;P Heres to coffee :’)

My first day in almost 16 months that I haven't nursed Oliver. Weaning is bittersweet, harder on mommy 😭😭😭💔
Weaning sucks but there’s nothing like drinking Tazo zen tea to calm my nerves. So I guess cuddles and kisses will do for now…Wish me luck! But I’m happy to put this breastfeeding adventure to a close.
Weaning...
Bittersweet. Ian latched last night and a second later he unlatched and said "I don’t like it!” He says that for everything he likes these days. Even for his blueberries. Thought it was just one of those twonager moments but...
He just asked for milk again. The same scenario occurred.
I am/sad, but then I looked to my left and a beautiful 2.5 week old was happily feeding on my left breast.
Ian’s taste for savory and dislike for sweets is showing more & more. He loved the colostrum stage and at a bit more than 2.5 years he’s starting the process of self weaning.
I think I'll try to have an individual session with him and see if we can call it our last latch and then celebrate w/ pretzel and a salt bagel.
Not gonna lie, it’s bittersweet. And, Perfect timing Baby Harry. Perfect timing!
