Ah it’s been a while since I read it, aha, but yeah I thought she was a very abusive character towards Mat. Mat repeatedly said no to sleeping with her on more than one occasion but she continued to ignore him and do whatever she wanted. Prerogative of being Queen I guess, you kinda get your own way. Very abusive of her power. Mixed with some of the more... weird Ebou Dari values and gender roles... I mean, even Beslan starts to question her actions and all that, so I think she even went above and beyond Ebou Dari standards to be honest.
As far as I can remember, nobody really talks to Mat about it - but he doesn’t want to talk about her either... although I won’t say why if you’re only half way through book 9! His feelings and attitudes towards her I think are kind of warped by how they part ways, so we never really get a good idea of what he thought afterwards which is a shame.
Hmm, yeah I guess that’s all I can say on it! Sorry, I’m not really up to date with WoT at the moment... I hope you like the end of the book though; book 9′s ending was one of my favs actually! ^^
