I took a look at the album "Le groom vert-de-gris" and damn

(in a site that had the pdf)

Why women??

Again 😭

-{ I'm going to be honest. I don't like to see them with a woman ("dating", having a crush, kissing, etc). One of the reasons is that in almost all the cases it ruins the whole story that has been built between them and around them. Or it's just unecessary/meaningless for the plot.

And sometimes, in certain albums, the addition of one or more women with whom one (or both) of them will fall in love or have some kind of romantic or even physical/sexual interest completely ruins the characters' personalities and the story itself. }-

In "Le groom vert-de-gris" what I noticed was that the women seem to be a "representation" of Spirou (the ginger) and Fantasio (the blonde). What is even more curious is that Spirou ended up with the tall blonde, and Fantasio ended up with the short redhead.

Not to mention the colour palette of their clothes, which also reminds us of each of them.

-> IDEA: Maybe the design of both women was, for Schwartz, a small escape from Yann's argument to allow Spifan to breathe a little in the midst of all this. But in a discreet way. With visual information that only a Spifan like us would be able to detect hahaah

I look very closely at each S&F album as I read it. I'm always looking for important details in the drawings and the significance of certain characters, for example. In Schwartz's case, his illustrations have a bigger complexity because he includes lots of small but very important details.

Knowing the author and his (unofficially confirmed) love for the duo, I could say that, regardless of the plot/script presented to him, he always adds a little of his own essence, which is normal in a collaboration but makes all the difference.

I do all this observation and, ultimately, research because I really like Spifan ❤️

And I would love it to be official, to be real

I figured out how to change colors easily! So I recolored Schwartz's and Sazantos' outfit.

Then Olberic and Osvald were a request--I let Olberic keep his cravat. :p

Then I just... put Tytos into a bunny suit as well because. Buff guys. Why not.
