Were there any other accusations/rumours/reasons to believe that Desmoulins engaged in homosexuality aside from the ‘private and shameful vices’ comment?
In number 5 (January 1794) of Le Vieux Cordelier, Desmoulins writes that he ”loved Mirabeau to the point of idolatry and like a mistress”, picking up a really similar thing Robespierre said about the same relationship at a session at the jacobin club on December 14 1793:
Robespierre: And I denounce Camille Desmoulins as well: he was the friend of Mirabeau whom he loved to the point of adoration, as one loves a mistress.
Make of that what you will.
Other than that, I don’t really know of anything besides the fact Desmoulins sometimes glazes Robespierre and Danton to the extent it sounds like he wants to jump into bed without clothes on together with them… but that I think you can more easily blame on his 18th century writing being 18th century writing…

Misterious history behind the Mirabeau in the Panthéon
In the Panthéon of Paris, right behind the The National Convention statue, you will find one representing Mirabeau
From this, I discovered the incredible story of the Mirabeau fountain of Aix!
In november 1926, in the city of Aix, an impressive monument was built in front of the Courtroom palace, represented Mirabeau surrounded by the allegories of royalty, republic, history and a sleeping France. All realized by Antoine Injalbert.
This monument was destroyed and pieces lost, but the statue of Mirabeau in the Pantheon we can see was realized by the same artist and looks identical as the one from the monument. Probably a way to not loose the hard work to honor this figure of the revolution.
