In Kelcey’s normal/canon story. They meet Hiro and the gang before they could get into any real trouble and Hiro, Leiko and Kyu help them with their depression and aweful self-worth.

In this AU now dubbed the “Gang AU,” Kelcey doesn’t meet Hiro until much later, So they end up getting involved in a gang that their sibling was in. They start stealing for a living and become more shelled up than before, their depression worsens and they become very suicidal, because the gang doesn’t treat them with respect, call them by their not preferred pronouns, make them keep their hair short, belittle them very often.

In this AU Kelcey doesn’t meet up with Hiro until later when a job goes wrong and they get very hurt. They run to escape the cops and end up breaking into Hiro’s apartment (chibi funny version up top) They are badly injured and Hiro actually shows some kindness to them which they have never really had before. The cops come anyway finding them and takes them away.

They go to jail but get out on good behavior and get put on probation. So now they can’t return to the gang and have no way to get food because they don’t have a real job. They end up returning to Hiro’s house and basically becoming like a stray cat. Will go over to his house and peek in windows or just relax in the alleyway between his apartment and the next.

Hiro starts leaving out food for them noticing that they come often, and becomes this small happy thing for Kelcey. They end up actually talking to Hiro and they become friends, and Hiro looks out for them helping them with their suicidal tendencies. <3

In the last picture is a thought I had when his other gang members return Kelcey is reluctant to join back up and they threaten them using Hiro. This is just a little scene after a fight where Kelcey has to protect Hiro and they get badly injured. Don’t worry they live! barely...
