Save the date, save the climate!

The global climate strike is back on November 29th 2019! May our voices change the world!

The memories of the  last year's flood  that created a deep scar on the minds of the people are yet awakened with a new flood this year. If this type of climatic events gets to continue in the subsequent years,it creates a grave concern for the survival of people and the economy of kerala. The last year's  devastating floods that caused around 31000 crore rupees  loss said by the UN report  and about  483 deaths   and about  140 people missing is of great concern. The condition being similiar this year, it is time that we take proper approach towards climate change and environment. The government should take stringent laws and should take proper measures. It is of a great concern that the common people are unware of the changes that is happening around them . It is time that we give first preference to climate than to devlopment. The implementation of meterological observatories and the importance of  experts in climate change and disaster management in state and district levels  is of upmost importance . The need for climate  change adaptation rather than climate change mitigation  is the  need of  the hour. The building up of  a climate resilience state   should be taken up and started as early as possible to avoid the climatic  disasters to take place in upcoming years.
