You can't go wrong with the Oklahoma Fried Onion Burger. It has a juicy beef patty, crispy fried onions, and all the usual burger toppings. It has a great mix of tastes and textures that will make you crave burgers.
Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef. 1 large onion, thinly sliced. 1/2 cup all-purpose flour. Salt and pepper to taste. 4 hamburger buns. 4 slices of American cheese. 4 tablespoons mayonnaise. Lettuce leaves. Tomato slices. Pickles. Mustard.
Instructions: Make 4 patties out of the ground beef that are all the same size. Add pepper and salt. In a different bowl, coat the onions well with flour by mixing them with the sliced onions. Put the pan on medium-high heat and add the oil. When it's hot, add the onion slices and cook them until they're golden brown and crispy. Take it off and let it dry on paper towels. In the same skillet, cook the beef patties until they're done the way you like them. For the last minute of cooking, add a slice of cheese to top each patty to melt it. Prepare the hamburger buns by toasting them in a skillet or toaster until they get a little brown color. Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun before putting the burgers together. On top of the mayo, put a lettuce leaf and a tomato slice. After putting the tomato slice on top of the cooked cheeseburger patty, add a lot of crispy fried onions. If you want, you can add pickles and mustard and then put the other half of the bun on top. Enjoy your tasty Oklahoma Fried Onion Burger while it's still hot!
