it’s not news that Hopper was mourning over his daughter not in some hospital but in Hawkins Lab

neither Will’s and Sarah’s tigers being alike (?) is (interestingly in the UD shot we see a gun aiming at it)

however, the stress on this “recognition” made me pay double-attention this time. in the UD Hopper repetitively sees stuff reminding him of his daughter which certainly cannot be a coincidence. we’ve seen these tigers as sus for a long while, but this recognition is too stressed.

and then this:

it looks like in a way* we watch Hopper travelling through his memories there; it’s not just a similar story that makes him live through Sarah’s story again. why, after the demonstration of the strong connection to Will’s tiger, we see the tubes being compared? now that we know, that the staircase where Hop cries is in the lab? and is it anyhow similar to the diseases from The Boroughs, the notorious “Maxwell’s” disease?

from here we know that Mike’s experiencing it as well: being a “food” of something connected to his mouth, which damages the brain causing memory loss. the same imagery accompanies all Vecna’s captives. through Hopper’s flashbacks we see how it comes to the full circle in the lab, showing that this is most likely one process.

but what bothers me aside from that is: whether

Will is Hopper’s child? Is Sarah Will?
