Made too much Sapasui and it's looking more white than brown even though I keep adding in the soy. Bakaswine hahaha First trial. Let's hope it tastes better than how it looks. Eeeek.
My turn to cook in the flat on Wednesdays - I'M MAKING SAPASUI (CHOP SUEY) FOR THE FIRST TIME! Good luck to me :)
Ingredients: 2 lbs. chopped beef (chuck steak) or chicken 5 cloves garlic (chopped) 1 oz giner - grated 1 cup mixed carrots and peas (Can be fresh or frozen or use chopped cabbage) 1 cup soy sauce 1 cup beef or chicken broth 2-3 packets of Vermacillin (Lialia) 3 Tbsp oil
Method: Prepare noodles - Bring 3 quarts water to a boil. Add noodles and turn off heat. Soak noodles until softened. Saute meat in oil for 3 minutes. Add garlic and giner and continue cooking for 2 more minutes. Add broth and soy sauce and cook 5 more minutes. Drain noodles and stir into meat mixture with vegetables. (You may have to add more liquid as needed as the noodles may absorb some of the liquid.) ** Depending on your cut of meat, you may boil tougher cuts for ½ hour before sautéing.6-8 servingsÂ
