GUYS I HAD AN EPIPHANY
It fascinates me that success as a fanfic author can be so dependent on the Fandom/ Ship you write for.
For example, I have 43.8k words of fics (6 one shots, one WIP long fic) posted for Kimvy, and 182 Kudos’s on them
So, compare that to my IronQrow fics: 13.7k words across only 3 fics, and all posted within the past 2 weeks. But. Already 244 Kudos’s.
It’s wild. As a writer I have barely changed. The only thing different is the ship I am writing for. So I guess my point is, the success of your work is dependent on much more than it’s quality and your skill in writing.
Just thought that was interesting to share.
