If we assume that we are on the verge of some impossible victory here… a truly significant thing… if we assume that is real and here for the taking… wouldn't you trade it all to have Thomas Hamilton back again? I think if he knew how close we were to the victory he gave his life to achieve, he wouldn't want me to. I see. Though that wasn't really what I asked, was it? Assume his father was just as dark as you say, but was unable to murder his own son… assume he found a way to secret Thomas away from London. He didn't. Would you trade this war to make it so?

Just rewatching S1 of The Witcher and especially in E5, the difference between how Cavill's Geralt treats Jaskier in comparison to Liam's Geralt in S4 is truly staggering. Starting with how Geralt makes the only half-conscious bard ride behind him in the saddle twice, and he was riding fast. What the fuck? Jaskier could have dropped off the horse any moment! Then he pretty much manhandles a bleeding and choking and terrified Jaskier around like a piece of meat both in the scene with the healer and in the one with the mayor, and always at an arm-length distance. And according to the Netflix timeline, they met in 1240 and the djinn episode is in 1256. Even if Geralt was pissed at Jaskier because of the djinn, they've known each other for 16 years and Jaskier could easily have died! I really wonder what their friendship would have looked like if Liam had been cast from the beginning...

TH: Halfway through the season, somebody's going to be at the bottom of the table, and it's going to feel a lot different than when they walked in today.
