So in between studying for programming I’ve been playing a little of that RWBY fangame, Grim Eclipse. God it is so much fun.
Certainly a little rough around the edges, hitboxes are a little wonky and do *not* zoom in on Ruby’s face cause the texturing is weird as hell, but when I’ve taken a minute to think about what a RWBY videogame should be like, the guy who made it hit the nail on the head. Fast-paced fighting in a wide-open area against many enemies at once. It’s not Montyvision but you can’t do Montyvision in a player-driven environment, so he’s got the next best thing. While the creator of the fangame, I know he goes by JordyJS on reddit but I don’t know if he has a tumblr, has said he’s not going to continue with Grim Eclipse, I’d love to see a real RWBY videogame be something like this. If you’re a fan of RWBY and beat-em-ups I’d highly recommend you check it out.
