I finally found an app that not only makes treadmill running bearable but I think I might actually look forward to it! This heaven-sent app is call BitGym. I have only used it once now but it is everything I've ever wanted in a virtual running app. Using the front facing camera the app is able to cater the speed going down the trail to your actually speed. In the free version you are able to run one tour from each scenario for 10 mins. I'm going to use it for awhile and see if I will use it enough to pay for a full year membership. It definitely will be nice for those crappy windy days that I don't want to run outside!

Ahh running watches...where do I begin! For the longest time I ran with a Nike running watch and absolutely loved it until the GPS would only work sometimes and I couldn't possibly run without my running watch! 😱 That was probably one of the biggest eye openers for me because I realized I was relying way too heavily on my running watch(my mom knows her pace with a watch from 1990!-I'll tell you more in future posts about how awesome my mom is!) I went awhile without a watch and felt this newfound sense of freedom and it was amazing! After realizing I can run without a watch my neighbor introduced me to her Gamin Vivoactive (🙌-cue my amazement!) and I decided to buy myself one for Christmas. Now I LOVE my watch don't get me wrong and I wear it everyday but..it is kind of an a$$hole at times. Such times are when I've already gotten MORE than my steps goal and went for a run so I'm just trying to chill and it gets in my face vibrating like crazy telling me to "MOVE!" ---um no watch I'm done for today okay. That's really the only time it is rude. The love for my watch far outweighs any time it is rude. The perks of it are endless but today it really stepped up! So when I run outside I usually am super pumped and just take off sprinting the first 2 miles without even realizing it, but on the Vivoactive you can set pace alerts and for me that is key especially when I am just getting back into outside running and I am overly excited about it. My alert went off 6 times during my run tonight and although I thought maybe I was overdoing it it was nice to be alerted of it so that when I run without my watch I can be aware of my pace.
