So marathon over for this year. Third & final charity football didnβt end as planned! Just chasing after the ball & pop, Achilles done! Thankfully only a partial tear, not the full rupture as the other one four years ago. Those who have followed me since back then know the issues I had, best part of nine months to get back to running properly. It shouldnβt be that long this time. Iβll not really sure until I see specialist at fracture clinic next week. Hopefully just 4-6 weeks in boot & then month of physio & rehab. But I know if could take longer! I canβt make any predictions, but xmas day parkrun would be nice. To say Iβm gutted is an understatement, however I was torn over the marathon & Iβm not that disappointed I wonβt be running it. It was likely going to be last as Iβm really not suited to them or the training needed. Iβve run two & I should be happy with that, not many have run one, so take the wins I guess. I should be able to cycle before I can run. So perhaps a triathlon for next year is still on the cards! #runner #runnerdown #injured #charityfootball #lonelygoatrunningclub #lonelygoatrc #outofaction #mandown #weightlossjourney #runnersofinstagram #runningcommunity #ukrunchat (at Poole, Dorset) https://www.instagram.com/p/CTLBls8oB6h/?utm_medium=tumblr
