TREADMILL TEMPO SHOWER HOUR? This is often my reality when doing workouts on the Mill. I look like someone poured a bucket of water over me! Imagine seeing that outside! 😱😱 I got up early today 😱 I know! 6am wake up and on treadmill by 6:15, ready to rumble. @rungum To the rescue! I started too fast for this 2 × 2.5-mile tempo. Av was meant to be between 7:00-7:15/mile. It was 6:48 and 6:58 for each segment! 🙈🙈🙈 Brain and calculations didn't work in the morning! Found it easy to wake up thougg. Much easier than 7:30am. Maybe that's a sign? Anyway, smoothie for recovery and off to work! EASY RUN TO TIME! Somehow, I decided I was too tired to go outside and run. Plus hayfever attack this evening on my long commute home. So tready miles it was! Theb went to meet running friends at a local pub (missed the food orders deadline). 😣 Funny how I felt better after a run. GET NOURISHED! Upping my post-workout nutrition. Thanks to @trackclubbabe I'm determined to do all the little extras to build a #stronger athlete self. Love my @genucan electrolytes and giving the energy drink another go. The No whey protein powder is dark Chocolate flavoured (of course) but the refills are coconut and vanilla/cinnamon! Time to smoothie it up! Maybe I can get my insomniac self to sleep and maybe even try some morning workouts! I used to run in the mornings in Cardiff... and yes, it is possible to be half-asleep and run a mile!
