I had the honour to do the art for @griseldagimpel 's fanfic :] it was really fun and great to work with you! :D

Since their fic is inspired in part by Bluebeard, I wanted to try and capture a sort of old book print vibe.

I absolutely ADORE this fic and I am wowed by @rhywhitefang's portraits for it! Thank you so much to you both, and to @pilesofnonsense for running the Rusty Quill Big Bang!

Oh lawd these boys in situations

My 1st year doing the Rusty Quill Big Bang run by @pilesofnonsense !! This is my first piece (Second here) for the absolute riot (and subsequent unexpected heart wrenching) fic, written by SmallishWormMasterOfTheUniverse on ao3, here!!! I recommend giving it a look!! Absolutely fantastic!!

The art is drawn from the perspective of Tim and Sasha (not shown) sitting at one of the tables and looking over the rest of the cafetaria where two detailed figures walk as well as multiple silhouettes of other people. The two figures are Jon and Gerry - in the first they have their backs to the viewer, in the second they are facing the viewer.

Jon is a brown skinned man with pointed ears and long black hair, wearing a pinstripe waistcoat with a dark green tie over a white button up, as well as pressed tan slacks and brown oxford shoes. He's standing with his arms crossed and holds a stern, disdained stare from behind oval golden glasses, under arched eyebrows.

Gerry is a pale white man with pointed ears and long black hair thrown over one shoulder. He has multiple line tattoos of eyes - small ones on his wrists and finger joints, and a big one on his throat. He wears black lipstick and eyeliner, as well as a lip and eyebrow piercing.

Gerry is wearing a long, sleeveless, dark grey coat with metal studs on the lapels and bottom edge as well as spikes on the shoulders, over a black long-sleeved shirt. He also wears ripped, grey cargo trousers and black platform boots. On the front of the coat a skull pin is visible, on the back there's art of a large, stark white middle finger being held up, with above and below it bloody red text that's partially hidden, in full it reads "Rebel Misfit". Thin metal chains hang front to back on one side of the coat. On the back of Gerry's trousers a few bright and colourful paint stains can be seen at the bottom edge.

The cafetaria has dark green walls, one of which is decorated with a large painting of Elias Bouchard - an older white man in a suit with grey hair and piercing grey eyes. The tables are white and circular, the chairs are red, blue and grey. There's a tall plant in the corner. On the table at the centre front lies a stack of books in different colours and sizes.
