It’s all fun and games kinning your roleplay characters until you kin one of your friend’s roleplay characters. I can never ever ever tell it. This sucks man.

I hate that kin has become a ‘for fun’ trend. People who “kin” for fun/coping STILL make fun of spiritual kin, say we’re “taking kin too seriously”, conflate kinning with choice (“if you kin villains you must relate to them so you’re abusive!”) or mock us for explaining what kin actually is (ie that “kinning” for coping isn’t kinning, it’s copinglink, etc) Like.. we’re taking it as seriously as we always have, as it was always meant to be. You took it from Us; why should we abide by YOUR rules?
i <3 roleplaying as my kin because everyone expects one kind of edgy, which i do deliver, but also a second kind of edgy based on how miserable i remember being

i need to rp as my kins again

Doing rp but as your kin is so weirdly freeing… I get to act exactly as I did then and nobody can judge me. I win

roleplaying outside of kin spaces is soooo funny sometimes. “i love your portrayal of your muse, its so well thought out & in-character!” my friend. little do you know.

occasionally, in a rp game, people have complimented me in ways such as “woah, you’re really good at being him!” and “you actually put a lot of depth into this!”
thanks! it’s because all of this is my natural reactions to things. i’m not entirely acting lmao
(perhaps it’s also because standards were low, but it still feels kind of nice to be recognized, even if indirectly. like, yes! that’s me!!)

I see why Nii-San liked the concept of online “rp” now. I can be 'me' without getting questioned or eyebrows raised at because I can just lie and say “it’s a roleplay account! Okie dokie?” And they’re like “yeah okay” and leave me alone!!
Awesome sauce :D
