Les kobolds de Castel Kher adorent le grand dragon Prossh comme s'il était un dieu. Le principe fondamental de leur religion, est d’agir d’une manière qui honore leur divinité - autrement dit piller, brûler et répandre la terreur dans leur sillage. En effet, la croyance veut que les kobolds qui parviennent à vivre selon ces idéaux renaîtront comme un dragon éclos d'un des œufs de Prossh.
Un jour, leur chef Rohgahh a eu une nouvelle idée : le meilleur moyen de faire comme son dieu, c’était d’en devenir un lui-même. Dès lors, il a adopté le rôle d’un tyran, exigeant un tribut et un sacrifice en tous points égaux à ce qui était offert à Prossh. Rograkh, le fils de Rohgahh, ne supportait pas de voir son père piller ainsi son propre peuple. Pas quand il y avait tant d’autres peuplades à piller. Désormais, il dirige une résistance contre son père dans l’espoir de remettre les kobolds de Castel Kher sur le « droit » chemin.
