it's always like
>TTRPG creators complain that TTRPG journalists never cover smaller games
>TTRPG journalists say their job is to report the news not be advertisers
>”the news” is always at least two headlines for every D&D5e release or whatever movie-budget D&D5e "actual play" podcast is coming out next

what are all the dnd classes?
Dungeons and Dragons began with only three character classes that eventually expanded to the 13 we know today:
Cleric:
An ordained cleric is able to lead religious services, hear confessions, bless sacraments to host the body of the lord, and consult laity on maters of faith and community. This was a very unpopular class because none of these were original DnD functions.
Fighting Man:
Thanks to the Edgar Rice Burroughs influence on DnD, terms like "Fighting Man" were somehow considered acceptable. It was a different time, back when "man" meant a "real man" and "gender stereotypes" were "commonly accepted metaphors for physical strength and bellicosity". Thank goodness we have an ethically flawless company like Wizards of the Coast to do better now.
Magic User:
One in five people you know uses recreational magic. Don't give into peer pressure, and don't try magic even once or it will take a toll on your body, your family, and your county's magic prevention statistics by which its budget gets approved by the federal government.
Now on its 5th edition, DnD has 13 character classes including:
Barbarian
Bard
Metal Bard
Paladin (includes gun, +5 to travel stats)
Artificier
Artistic Fish Seer
Civil and Safety Engineer
Wigmaker
Wig Unmaker
Brutal Wig Unmaker
Honorary Professor Of Fashion History (Petrarch Era)
Potato Expert
Slut
None of these classes matter however, because people just do whatever they want and it might as well be GURPS.
