Hello, all. I've been asked by a few people what research tools I've used for Illuminate: Blackout.
Please see the following list. This isn't exhaustive. There are many that I deleted because their contents would inevitably yield narrative spoilers that I'm still unfurling and that won't come to fruition until books 2 or 3. Either way, I think what's provided below is plenty to dig through! Please enjoy and please take care. As a warning, some of the PDFs in the google drive folder have very grisly medical photos and some have content dealing with the physical and psychological affects of sexual assault. Happy writing + happy researching!
Please be on the lookout for other websites from my bookmarks!

GOOGLE DRIVE FOLDER - Full of PDFs organized in sub-folders by subject. This folder also has a word document with over 200 bookmark links in (mostly) alphabetical order. Many links that are pivotal to plot points for book 2/3 were removed.

RESEARCH WEBSITES:
American Psychological Association
IntechOpen - Open-Access Books
Journal of Neurology, Neurosurgery, and Psychiatry
Journal of the American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law
Medscape - Comprehensive clinical information and resource material. Note: You have to register to read the full information on this website. A trick I've learned is that if you're reading an article and you're not registered, go to the print icon on the left of the page (if using computer or tablet) and click 'Print Entire Contents of the Article'. With this, a new window pops up, and you'll be able to read the full contents of an article.
National Center for Biotechnology Information
Psych Scene Hub - A platform where mental health professionals share ideas, cases, and concepts that bridge the gap between academia and the real world, replete with videos and interviews in psychiatry and neurosciences.
ResearchGate - "For the intellectually curious, the seekers of truth, the geeks, the makers: our members offer you a treasure trove of knowledge in areas as diverse as materials science, agriculture, human health, and quantum physics."
Science Direct - Research in Science, Technology, Mathematics, Psychology, and Medicine
Springer Link - Providing researchers with access to millions of scientific documents from journals, books, series, protocols, reference works and proceedings.

If any of you think of additional tags I should give for this post, please let me know. That, or if I see reblogs I might 'borrow' some tag ideas.
