VideoJoe did such a nice job with the other interior light fixture install he has now been asked to remove the old exterior light fixture & install a new light fixture there as well. How hard could it be, right? Make sure the power is off before working on any electrical items he always tells me. Now it should be a simple thing on removing the existing exterior light fixture. He sees that someone has repainted around it so he needs to score around the light fixture mounting base before he can remove the light fixture. That could be the hardest part of removing the light fixture! Most of the time removing exterior light fixtures (or any light fixture) is easy...when you know how. It's the installing a new light fixture that could be tricky sometimes but most light fixtures are pretty easy to install as well.
