Renzou wanted to get a ticket to go to a True Cross Academy school festival dance. He wanted to finally see what was so great at it. Only one problem:

Literally no girl would agree to go with him. So you know what he did instead? He needed to get the help of one of his friends. He didn’t trust Rin to execute the plan enough. Yukio could get a date without problem. That left Konekomaru and Ryuji. Koneko might not care enough or want enough to go.

Bon it was.

It was after class one day when Koneko went off to do something on his own. Like actually on his own, not the kind of on his own where he was off with Renzou and Bon too.

Renzou pulled Bon off to the side of the path in school. “You wanna go to the festival dance too, right Bon?”

“Well, yeah, but I don’t have a date. Neither of us do.” The boy with the blonde-streaked hair looked a bit wary of his friend. Renzou didn’t exactly have the track history of ‘good’ ideas.

“I’ve got a plan to get in.”

“A plan to ‘get in’?”

“What do you mean ‘get in’, of course I mean let’s get in! I can use these.” He opened his school bag and tugged out a wig and a dress he’d conveniently saved in his bag for this. Oh Bon was going to get a kick out of this. “Then we can buy the tickets as as couple.”

Bon was shocked for a moment and had to wait for the whole idea to process in his mind. “This is without a doubt the stupidest plan you’ve ever had.
