To this day, I haven't seen a better ship for Lewin than Igor Neuhaus.
Here are my reasons:
They're freak for freak. Lewin is absolutely here for anything if it's interesting and Neuhaus has work to do.
They're both tamers, in the same but different ways. Neuhaus uses his Nebarius in a mind over matter situation. They follow his orders without question and he has his shortcuts in his tattoos as well. Meanwhile, Lewin has his whole "Let's be friends with demons" mentality combined with his abbreviated summoning techniques!
Neuhaus is eccentric in the mad scientist way and Lewin is eccentric in his demon loving/living for The Big Chase sort of way. Together, they are autistic.
They're both smart as hell and can drift compatible their way through wacky experiments and come up with results in less time than a full team could.
Lewin would make friends with Neuhaus' Nebarius hands and win them over with mud baths which would make Neuhaus mildly annoyed. (But he's also a little won over himself because Lewin is cutely bubbling around his person and is more of a light in his life than he's had in a long time)
If Ryuuji is Lewin's brakes, Neuhaus is his gas pedal. Whatever experiment Lewin wants to run, Neuhaus is there for it because he knows it's gonna be interesting.
Their sleep schedules are mutually horrific.
Lewin would drag Neuhaus out of his lab to eat out and take naps and force Neuhaus to have a healthier lifestyle.
Neuhaus, while being Lewin's keeper: I'm not his keeper. Lewin, while being a nuisance: I'm his keeper!
There's definitely more reasons. Feel free to shoot me an ask. Lighthaus supremacy!
Through the Ages: A look at the Roguneto ship.
Age of X (Earth-11326,Formely 616):
The Human Coalition had been building anti-mutant support over the years. Various States had installed Department of Corrections. Laws were passed, outlawing the X-Gene. It made it easier for the Sapien League to win the election, which in turn created a precedent across the world. Laws were passed in most countries against mutants.
In this reality, Magneto encouraged others to fight back. He’d already been responsible for the Brotherhood and Acolytes and had taken an active role in aiding the Mutant Liberation Front. He saved dozens of mutants and stole the Chrysler Building and several of New York City’s skyscrapers, which he then used as raw material to construct Fortress X; a place for all mutantkind to gather. Magneto observes everything from Fortress X, orchestrating his forces against the daily human attacks.
Rogue goes by the codename Legacy since her powers were used as a means to absorb the memories of dying mutants. Because of this she also gained another nickname (albeit said behind her back) of Reaper. She was never allowed to fight, as it was deemed more important to protect the memories of those who had fallen in battle.
Legacy’s investigation into the mysterious stranger who had escaped from the Fortress X underground jail - set the story into motion.
Having lived different lives to the X-Men of mainstream continuity, many of the mutants within Fortress X had started new & different relationships. Legacy and The General were aware of each other's romantic interest in the other and stayed by each others side frequently, but they never acted upon their desires.
Omg my boys look so cool
screaming tonight about how Ryuuji totally fell in love with Rin here:
HES CRUSHING HARD
Listen this is the same person who “fell” for lewin just as fast, don’t @ me

A Rin Okumura silhouette I decided to draw after reading the latest chapter
Age of X-Man: X-Tremists #2
boi has the local X-Men fandom been having some discourse lately, here’s my contribution
1) AGE OF X-MAN IN GENERAL IS REALLY, REALLY GOOD, AND X-TREMISTS IS EXCELLENT
For real, I’m stunned people are ragging on one of the best X-events in years, and seemingly because it’s an AU with a secretly dystopian world that’s... narratively framed as being every bit the evil, awful, fascist system we recognize it as? Like, y’all realize we’re supposed to dislike seeing X-Men working in a fascist system, right? That it’s meant to be wrong, and twisted; that’s the driving force of the conflict.
And this isn’t a mutant utopia. Being free from human prejudice doesn’t mean this is a successful, perfect mutant society, and it also doesn’t mean this is the only way a purely mutant society could be. The idea is quite clearly that this world, although on the surface it appears to be a mutant dreamland, is deeply flawed. I’d think y’all would catch on to the very intentional, important detail that a straight, white, cis man who banged his mom’s clone’s ghost was the creator of this world. They’re not making any negative point about marginalized peoples, they’re making a point about entitled dudes who think forcing the world to be their perception of “better” is the right way to go.
2) THE X-MEN MOVIES ARE GREAT AND DARK PHOENIX WILL ALMOST CERTAINLY ALSO BE GREAT
I’m actively avoiding the new trailer, because I want to go in as unspoiled as possible, but I’ve no doubts that Dark Phoenix is gonna meet the same level of quality the previous X-Men movies have. Are there a handful of problematic elements scattered throughout the XCU? Sure, without a doubt. Are they inherently embedded in these movies, though? No, and most of those issues are far from unique to these movies. We can criticize them without cancelling them, y’all. We can loathe Bryan Singer all he deserves and still laud Days of Future Past all it deserves (and it deserves a lot of praise).
Honestly, it’s like some of y’all X-Men fans don’t want to like any new X-Men content. We got
- a whole-ass series of (largely) excellent movies, with two coming out this year
- two separate, fantastic X-Men or X-related shows (one of which is legit the emotional, intense, character-driven X-Men drama we all want and deserve, while the other is a brilliant, surreal, cinematically stunning David Lynch meets Wes Anderson headtrip)
- a steady stream of (largely) excellent comics spread across numerous, highly distinct series’
- a special focused event going on in the comics that’s doing extremely cool and distinct and bold stuff
AND all of this media is comprised of a bunch of different flavors of X-Men, AND we got the inevitably upcoming MCU X-Men movies. Don’t like the current ones? Cool! That’s fine! Hype up the MCU ones we all know we’re gonna get. What do you accomplish by complaining about the existing movies, other than annoying the people that love them? Why not focus on the X-Men stuff you’re excited about?
Y’all’s negative as hell, and it’s bonkers, ‘cause we’re in a stellar time for X-Men content, if only y’all would loosen up and give it the focus it deserves.
