Carol Ferris Dating Henry:
Yes, it could actually be a remarkably healthy relationship.
The key reason is that Carol Ferris—especially her Green Lantern: The Animated Series incarnation—is attracted to reliability, maturity, and competence. Those are all traits that a Henry-like personality possesses in abundance.
A person modeled after Henry the Green Engine isn't typically flashy or attention-seeking. They're usually:
Dependable
Hardworking
Protective
Practical
Honest
Occasionally grumpy
More caring than they admit
Those qualities pair surprisingly well with Carol.
Why Carol Would Appreciate Him
Carol spends much of her life surrounded by extraordinary personalities.
Pilots.
Superheroes.
Aliens.
People who routinely make dangerous decisions because they think it'll work out somehow.
A Henry-like partner would be refreshingly grounded. Imagine Carol coming home after dealing with an intergalactic crisis.
Instead of dramatic speeches, she gets:
"You haven't eaten all day, have you?"
"No."
"Thought so. Sit down."
That sort of quiet concern would mean a lot to her.
Their Shared Competence
One of the strongest aspects of the relationship would be mutual respect.
Both individuals would likely value responsibility and common sense.
Neither would need constant reassurance.
Neither would play games.
Neither would enjoy unnecessary drama.
They'd function more like partners than opposites.
If something goes wrong, their first instinct would be:
"How do we solve this?"
rather than
"How do we blame each other?"
Potential Friction
The funny part is that both could be a little irritable.
A Henry-like person can become frustrated when people ignore obvious solutions.
A Henry-inspired Carol would have similar tendencies.
This means their arguments might sound like:
Carol: "Why didn't you ask for help?"
Henry-like Partner: "Why didn't you ask for help?"
Carol: "Because I was handling it."
Henry-like Partner: "Exactly my point."
The disagreement wouldn't usually stem from selfishness.
It would stem from both caring so much that they sometimes try to shoulder burdens alone.
Emotional Compatibility
This is where the relationship becomes particularly strong. Henry's defining trait isn't actually his grumpiness. It's his loyalty. Underneath everything, Henry wants to be useful and protect those he cares about.
Likewise, Carol's connection to the Star Sapphire Corps is rooted in love, compassion, and devotion.
Both personalities value commitment. Once they decide someone matters, they stick around. That creates a tremendous amount of emotional security.
What Others Would Notice
Hal Jordan: Would be amazed someone can out-grumble him while still making Carol happy.
Wonder Woman: Would approve almost immediately because of the relationship's mutual respect.
Superman: Would describe them as one of the healthiest couples he knows.
Batman: Would appreciate the lack of unnecessary drama.
Long-Term Outlook
Long-term, this relationship would likely be built on:
Trust
Loyalty
Respect
Communication
Shared responsibility
They wouldn't necessarily be the loudest or most romantic couple in the room. They'd be the couple that quietly lasts. The kind who finish each other's tasks before they're asked. The kind who know when the other is tired without being told. The kind who occasionally bicker about whose fault a problem is while simultaneously working together to solve it.
In many ways, Carol's life is full of larger-than-life people and cosmic adventures. A Henry-like partner would provide something equally valuable: stability. And for someone like Carol Ferris, stability isn't boring. It's comforting. It's dependable. It's home.
Just remembered a really stupid-but-not-in-the-bad-way idea I had for a High Potential crack pairing
First of all even in the likely even this doesn't happen I feel like odds are good that the Roman reveal in the S2 finale isn't all it seems and if Roman is good-or-at-least-not-evil enough of a guy to, when we find him, become some sort of recurring guest star, I don't think he and Morgan are gonna go back to being anything more than friends. And for some reason I see part of why being a flip-reverse of a scene we saw with Karadec and Lucia where he's metaphorically never changed but she's changed too much for him or something.
But you know who seems to have a clear attraction to artists and/or chaotic people and a willingness to let someone's indiscretions go at the time (just beat themselves up about it later)...
Yeah that's right somehow (at least via what I've imagined about Roman to fill in the gaps of the info we have) my brain combined my hunch that someone on this show is gonna turn out to be queer eventually with my belief that if they find Roman and he's a good guy that doesn't mean Morgan and Roman have to get back together but how could he still otherwise hypothetically recur to create some kind of Roman/Karadec crack pairing weirdness aka how Ava Gillory just keeps acquiring more dads

Pilot characters. My beloved<3
Manny: “You are going to need a co-pilot.”
The pilot: “You’re a pilot TOO???”
Manny: “Yes. I am also a particle physicist.”
The pilot: “ … a wut?”
*Manny then teaches him about quantum physics and all that jazz*
-
Manny: “Want me to fly?”
The pilot: “Yeah. Okay.”
Manny: *takes over the plane*
The pilot: “Wow… You’re a lot better than me.” (he means it genuinely)

im a pretty casual endeavor fan and i found your endeavor fics on ao3 (very lovely. i enjoyed reading.) and i’m really curious as to why you keep pairing him with sleazy men 😭 whether it’s intentional or not… but they complement him perfectly. i love your crossovers. and i want to know what made you attracted to endeavor in the first place!
Did I keep pairing him up with sleazy dudes? Gojo and Getou yeah. Might be too harsh of a descriptor for Kaneki LOL. I wouldn't say I'm attracted to Endeavor (not my usual type of phenotype to fangirl over). However, Endeavor has enough backstory/plot points in the original manga that makes for very interesting spins storytelling wise. Do I agree with his actions or core character traits/beliefs in general? No, not at all. Even the "death" of his son only made him more obsessed in going down the wrong path. Which is why I feel he is the type who can only understand the pain he is inflicting on others when he is on the receiving end (or has to literally walk a mile in someone else's shoes). Hence, his partner would have to be either physically on par or stronger than him or so unstable that Endeavor has to respond like he's handling a hero work crisis. I don't hate him enough to want him to suffer dead dove do not eat style either though. In the manga, he's also shown aptitude for change and competence in critical thinking and adapting, along with the moral stubborness that is very open to artistic interpretations. At least, personally I think this is a trait that can be very attractive for the characters that I paired him up with. I don't want to write Endeavor without his faults (cause, let's admit, he is just as much of a loser as a lot of the sleazy men I paired him with LOL). He just needs a stop, or someone who is able to throw him off his course completely. Like, just be more unhinged than the madman and you'd scare him into submission. Enji: I need to beat my son so bad in order to train him to be the strongest hero there is. Husband: Oh goody! Let me help, let's toss him directly into hell *ready to drops child into Satan's abyss. Enji: NO!!! You know what? Never mind! Forget I said anything!! You think you have a crisis? I'm about to blow this whole world through the roof! Joke analogies aside, this is at no point a snark for Rei in the original manga plot though. Her personality and situation didn't position her to be that type of character. So I'm just coming up with other possibilities in my crossover pairings. On a side note, Gojo x Endeavor started as a joke on another site and I decided to run with it, which led to posting on AO3 to perserve the fic since it's already written. Also, BNHA's setting is just very good to pair with other worlds in general. Modern enough to mesh with a lot of non superpowered mangas but also just whimsy enough to be a world where all possibilities can come true. If anything, I'd love to see magical boy Enji just for laughs.

What If - Bakugou is a jujutsu sorcerer
A short expanding on the previous idea of a What If Strongest Duo & Dynamite fic where Bakugou has jujutsu talent.

“Let’s go home, Riko-chan.”
Getou raised his hand, turning his palm up to offer the crying girl a hand of support. As they stood in the Tomb of The Stars, Riko’s sobs were the only sound amongst the eerie quiet.
Sniffling, Riko held back her tears and wiped her face with her hands. She lifted her chin, facing Getou properly as she smiled.
Her fingers slipped before Getou could hold her.
A gunshot rang out within Tengen’s maze and it was followed closely by a startled scream. Getou pushed Riko behind him, noticing a new pulse of unfamiliar cursed energy. There was a translucent piece of hexagonal plate hovering in midair, just a few inches away from where Riko stood a second ago. His gaze shifted down, seeing a bent, clinking metal bullet rolling along the stone.
Near the tunnel that they came from, stood the assassin with a handgun but further down was another kid. A boy–probably in middle school–in a black uniform came running. Blond hair and red eyes, the glow of cursed energy circled him. Wild and untamed but still rhythmic enough that it wasn’t just an uncontrollable and continuous burst that would drain his life force.
“Amanai!” the blond boy yelled while coming to a stop, “don’t you die on me!” His chest heaved as he leaned a hand on his knee for support. “This place has way too many damn stairs,” he cursed.
“Bakugou?” Riko tried to poke her head out from behind Getou but the latter shoved her back. “How did you find me?”
“I left a tag in your keychain.” He flashed his phone, where the tracking app was on. Hearing that, Riko touched the pocket on her skirt instinctively and her mouth hung open. The boy continued, “How can I become the No.1 hero if I just sit by to watch someone die? I don’t care if you want to sacrifice yourself! I’m dragging your sorry butt out of this cult whether you like it or not! And the maid too!”
Tears swelled in Riko’s eyes but she took a deep breath and pointed at the assassin. “He’s the villain!”
“I can see that!”
Bakugou–as Riko called him–dodged to the side as another bullet was fired in his direction.
“This is really dragging on too much.” The assassin continued to fire.
A hovering square cube appeared behind the boy, where it split into a dozen hexagonal shapes and shot back at the man. The beams of light speared through the bullets and continued forward, forcing the man to leap back into the air. Getou took the chance and summoned Rainbow Dragon, letting the large curse attack the assassin and push him down towards the rows of corridors.
They slammed through the wooden structure while Getou grabbed Riko, shoving her onto the back of a flying curse. He turned to Bakugou and said, “Get Riko and Kuroi out of here!”
They would have time to figure out where this kid who knew jujutsu came from and his connection to Riko later. Because…if the assassin was here…
“Why are you here?” growled Getou.
Rainbow Dragon slammed down into the buildings, sending debris and dust everywhere. In the midst of the smoke, the muscular assassin walked out with a giant sword and a smirk.
“Why? Oh, you must mean that.” The man’s smile grew wider. “I killed Gojo Satoru.”
“Is that so?” More curses appeared behind Getou as he lowered himself into a better position for attack. “Then die.”
