#BIGFACTS! . Making our way from surviving to thriving takes serious #SpiritWork. Being back in the hospital is always an acceptance test for me. Not easy letting my defenses down & exercising patience while answering the same questions 20x (Had to have a #RelaxRelateRelease moment in the ER bathroom after a nurse messed up an already precariously placed IV, but other than that I'm flowing like water, baby😌) Deep breathing, bed stretching, getting up & walking a lap around the hospital wing when I can despite the #SickleCell crisis pain & rolling with the punches far better than I have in the past. The most important shift I've worked on over the trauma filled years is checking the negative internal dialogue when familiar & unpleasant circumstances become triggering. It's not always easy to replace old habits, but it can be done. . For me rn in this very moment "living my best life" looks like me mean mugging in the bathroom mirror & (gently) rocking out with this IV infusion pump! 🤓 Create your feel good moments in the NOW!! 💃💃 Aight, my body's throbbing.
