Turning back
I was asked to share a spell I use to turn things back on people. This is the closest thing I have. I don't use it so much to turn actions back on people. But I do use it to encourage reflection on their actions. I don't use it often. Mostly because it requires I get my butt to the dollar store for main item and I tend towards not going to the dollar store. You will need:
A compact mirror with a mirror on both sides. If this is difficult to find, I have in a pinch put aluminum foil on the other side. Not ideal, but it will work. Twine A white candle A black candle A slip of brown paper To begin I like to center myself and think about the specific actions I would like this person to reflect on. I try to keep all my spells as specific at possible. I do this for two reasons. The first being I have found that it truly makes the spells much more successful. And secondly, it keeps that energy exchange very focused. Write the name of the person on the paper. Add notes about the actions you want them to reflect on. As I said, I like to keep it specific, and I have used code and dates etc for that. That part is up to you. Fold the paper tightly and place in the compact. Light both candles. Tie the twine around the compact. Begin dripping both colors of candle wax on the twine. It does not need to be perfect. We are just sealing it up in a primarily symbolic way. When you feel you have done that, it is time to put away the compact. This part is really about how you want to do it. I have a drawer in my altar where I have stored them. I have just buried them. If it is someone you are totally over, throw it away. It really doesn't matter. Or at least it hasn't in my experience. I don't tend to do a lot of verbal spells so there are no chants for this one. But if you are a verbal caster, something like: Take this time to think About how your actions impact Take this time to think About how they have harmed (And here would be where to list those harms) With this I turn my back on your mirror. So mote it be. Or create your own. This spell has worked for me in that it either helped me see that the person's actions weren't worth saving the relationship over. It has also brought me apologies. Have a magical day.
so i just performed (?) a reflection spell, similar to the one i recently reblogged
i feel like i may not have done it ‘right’ because there was a feeling of something not being complete but perhaps i was just expecting it to be a longer process
i also feel like i shouldve put a particular thought into what the person should be reflecting but it entirely left my mind until i closed the circle
i know i felt my intention with my words though which i hope will be strength in itself
i guess time will tell
Forced Reflection Spell
A spell to force someone to see and reflect upon what they have done and who they are.
Ingredients:
A small box
Various small mirrors to line the box with
A picture of the person
A marker
Black thread (for binding)
Black pepper (for binding)
Method:
Line a box with small mirrors (sides, top, and bottom) all facing inward. Take a picture of the person with their name written on it and bind the picture up with black thread as you speak aloud your intention to force them to recognize the results of their actions. Place the picture in the box and surround with black pepper while announcing that you are binding them to see the effects of their actions and reflect upon those actions. Close and seal the box and hide away.
‘Reflect on your choices’ Spell
This quick spell will make the target reflect on any recent actions or decisions they have made.
What you need:
A compact mirror (preferably one with a mirror on both sides)
A silver candle (reflection and intuition)
Paper and pen OR A taglock
Light the candle and place the compact mirror in front of it, visualise the reflective and intuitive energies entering the mirror.
Write the name of the target on a small piece of paper or pick up and hold the taglock. Focus on the choices of the target. You can even voice what you want them to reflect on out loud.
Place the name/taglock in the mirror making sure that it is facing the mirror.
Close the mirror and allow the candle to burn down next to it.
When you feel that the spell is no longer needed, dispose of the paper or taglock and cleanse the mirror.

You Will Need: New moon (time) Silver/White candle Matches (to light candle) Mirror Vinegar Spell Prepping: When the moon is new, light the candle and place a hand/mirror in front of the candle. Dab the four corners (even if it’s round just imagine a smaller square in the circle) of the mirror with vinegar. Stand outside or at an open window and either reflect the mirror at the new moon or the flame and chant the spell... Spell: “New Moon, Growing Moon, Make (person name) realize soon, Harm sent and misery cursed, is returned and being reversed!” Spell Source: Unknown
