Happy whenever this post finds you. This post is the long awaited pricing/time list I keep saying I will post. Before all that though, let's get to know me. I am a very eclectic witch. By that I mean that I draw on lots of methods of magic, but my core practice is Celtic in it's base. I work with the Morrigan and She and I have a long long history. I use tarot, candle magic, kitchen witchery and so many other methods in my actual practice. I have been a witch since the third grade. I hear your questions already... but yes third grade was the time frame that I was announcing to people I was a witch. And that never went away. It was never a phase. I have just really refined and defined my practice and beliefs since then. I have been a tarot reader for over 30 years. (Yes, an old person is on tumblr... friends I have been here the whole time!). I picked up my first tarot deck from a Hastings book store in rural central WA. I did my first reading for another person right there in the parking lot. I haven't looked back since. So here we are. I do very tailored readings for each and every client I have. You, the client select from my many many many decks. The spread is either selected by you or I design one for you myself. You can select the number of cards we read or the length of time for the reading. The pricing can be flexible but the base pricing is as follows: Daily card...$5 a day.. (Here I will draw a daily card just for you) 1-3 cards/ half hour ... $30 4-7 cards/ 1 hour ...$50 8+ cards/ up to 2 hours...$100 Longer readings are possible but because reading is a deeply personal thing, we would need to talk about that. Happy whenever this finds you. Remember how a couple of posts ago (or maybe not even that) I said I would be posting more booky things. Well, this is the first of that. I am reading Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal. Written by Christopher Moore and published by Harper Perennial. I have had to sit for several days with this book. Partially because every person that I spoke to about this book had such glowing and wonderful things about it. So I had to sit and separate my feelings about the people who recommended this to me (which are all positive feelings), from my feelings on the book. Let me be clear, I didn't dislike the book. It was a nice little read that had good editing, a clear and consistent internal voice, and really nice writing. From a technical standpoint, this is a good book. I finished it in just a couple of days and while I did feel it ran a little slow, I did finish it. And I will DNF if I don't like the way a character looks at someone. Where I struggled had nothing at all to do with the book. THe book is a tongue in cheek look at the missing years of the life of Christ. Through the eyes and words of his friend Biff. Now... Biff is absolutely a Biff. A bit slutty, a bit violent, but a good heart and a desire to make the world better, just as long as he doesn't really have to be the leader. In talking to a friend, what I realized is that had I read this 20 years ago, it would have changed my life. I would have found it so incredibly easy to reconcile my very very Christian upbringing with my current status of non-Christian spiritual being. These days though, I know my place in the universe and I am very comfortable in this space. I no longer feel the need to fit who I was into where I am. I am glad that I read this book now when I did. It did show me that I do have that sense of solidity (sure that is a word...) in my spiritual and religious practices. I don't need to prove anything to any one. My practice, including the very sacred to me deities that I work with don't require anything but being where and who I am. Sure, I knew that logically, but reading Lamb helped me really understand that on a deeper level. Sometimes that is what a book will do. Nothing special but remind you who and where you are. Happy whenever this finds you. For me it is abundance season. Oh my, that feels... freeing to say. Let's talk about it. The photo above is of some lemon Balm that was found and foraged by my son. He brought it to me saying it looked like something I would use. Of course it is. It is a wonderfully magical and wonderfully medicinal herb. I use her for sooooo much. Back when I had a regular herb garden I almost always had some in the bed. I really like her bug repelling properties. But she also makes a truly delightful summer lemonade. But, KIKI, what does that have to do with abundance? That part is super easy. I had just done a quick check of my herb stocks and had no lemon balm. I do have essential oil, so if I had needed it in a pinch for magic I was okay. I was totally out of plant matter for things like tea. I drink a lot of tea and I use tea when I do a lot of other forms of my magic. So being out of plant matter and having free plant matter quite literally dropped onto my counter is the very definition of abundance for me. While I did not grow the plant, it grew into my space and we made the decision to put it to it's best use. In a time of need. This lemon balm was originally planted as just a pretty little thing. And it grew into a location where it's larger potential could be reached. Rather than allowing it to go fallow on my property. Aboundace, for me, is not money. It is security, it is having needs met. And it is having wants fulfilled without risking the needs or the security. Abundance is having not only enough but enough to share. I am really focusing on... not gratitude... but certainly joy and the good things. So finding a large handful of lemon balm for free in the moment I am out, is a joyful things. This is the sort of upcoming posts I think there will be more of. Little bits of me just being happy with the things that are around me. And honestly I think a big part of being pagan, certainly of being not of the establishment, is do the little joyful things. More awareness, and attention.

Happy whenever this finds you. Earlier this lovely spring week, I cleaned the space that I use to create. And like most of the times that I clean that space, it lead to making more art. As one does. I am fascinated by circles. How they are both inclusive and exclusive. They have a center, but not a beginning, not an end. I associate myself and many aspects of my life (specifically of my trauma) with circles. Because of this connection I have been working a lot in various media with circles. What started as just putting color on paper became a visual representation of some of how I feel about the world around me. have a magical day

Happy whenever this finds you. The following is a stream of consciousness writing for you. Edits are for spelling and limited clarity only. This is a photo of my crow friends in my front yard. This was from a few months ago. I was looking out my window this morning thinking that it might be fun to set up a wee meditation station (yeah... I like that) in the front there. Something slightly elevated and off the damp dew cover ground. Not out of the rain, because that would be more work than I thought the project warranted. I am striving for a more Wu-Wei life. Anyway, that got me thinking about my neighborhood, how we are in a pretty dang upscale location, with some lovely neighbors all around us. And yet, no one but us uses our front yard. We don't use the back as often because that is for the garden and the dogs. For the kiddo to play the best space is the front. So we spend time out there reading, kicking the ball, playing, being. And we get a lot of weird looks from passers by. It's our space. And yet we are judged because for some inexplicable reason this area has developed a culture of invisibility. Little ticky tacky houses living the suburban dream. Maybe this is where i am supposed to be to help flip that to something more welcoming, more inclusive. Community is not invisible. It is the grandma in her rocker on the stoop or porch. It is the children playing in the street under a watchful, but more hands off eye. There is balance to be had here. Have a magical day.

Happy whenever this finds you. For me it is a lovely spring day in mid-April. I am sinking back into my world. I do not know a better way to explain how I am feeling right now. I have been untethered to even the basics of my life. I am using the deck "the Call of the Morrigan Oracle". Created by Stephanie Woodfield and Karen Storminger with art bye Naomi Cornock. Today I simply asked for guidance, as I said I have felt lost and adrift. While I try to practice non-attachment, adrift is not the same. Adrift to me will always feel more like a sadness. Not just directionless, but intentionless. And when all my magic, which is also my spark, is intention, being intentionless is being without all that seems me. So I turned to the Goddess who has always told me true. Here I drew (accidently) two cards. One of loyalty and one of nourishment. Card one is Liath Macha: this card is of loyalty, but also letting others protect you, defend you, fight for you and with you. I am someone who frequently feels isolated. The card asks me to reflect on what is worthy of my fight, but also what is needing protection. There is a simple spell here that will help me with those connections. A spell for listening with openness to my guides. The second card, that came out of my shuffle attached to the Liath Macha, is the Cauldron of the Dagda. A card of nourishment, and of abundance. In my being adrift, I have been fearful of loss. Of want. Not want in the capitalistic sense. But want in the sense of fear of not having the basics. Maslow's hierarchy of needs. And this card is here to assure me that what I need is inside me, and flows through me. It is also a gentle nudge about gratitude, which is, in a way, what actually brought be back. I will sit a while. I will sit with my guides and I will sit in abundance with them. A gentle reminder that not all guides are dead... ya know? Have a magical day.
