There are a thousand words I want to speak

But none dare to leave my mouth.

The fear of being unheard, unseen

Has made it impossible to speak out loud.

Maybe this is why I write here

To get hold of my worst fears

Maybe this is why I'll keep writing

For being heard from afar is easier

Than speaking at all.

I really, really wish I could talk a bit more confidently. I wish I were the type to lead rather than quietly follow. But for some reason, this is so scary to me because I've never been able to communicate that well in front of people . Tumblr is something I downloaded just last week, and I'm so glad I did. Here, I don't feel like people are judging me in any way. If they like the poem, they simply leave a heart. If they don't, they scroll past. I love being here.

And this message is to no one but my future self.

When you come back to this post again, I hope you're no longer so afraid to speak in front of the class, the community, the clubs, or anyone at all. I hope you express your thoughts the way you do here. Fearlessly... <3
