Today in my zero waste journey
I know it’s been quite a while but I accomplished something today that has brought me one step closer to my zero waste goals! I made reusable “cotton” pads! Unlike the store bought ones that create a lot of waste
I have made reusable ones out of scrap fabric I had, flannel and felt. These can be washed and reused instead of thrown out!
I used two peices of flannel and sewed one piece of felt in between. The flannel was from a project I did a few years ago and the felt was from an old Halloween costume I had made! I chose to make them into squares because it was personally easier for me to sew (I used a sewing machine but these could have also been done by hand). I made about 10 of them just for now but will make more if I need! After I made them I stored them in a mason jar I bought secondhand! I’m really excited and proud of this accomplishment!
Früher hat man das mit Waffen und Kriegen gemacht, heute mit Wirtschaftsgewalt.
