I hate when the devil hits me up at the most inconvenient times. Like, dude, in a minute, Iβm playing Mariokart.
Q: Where do you stand on summer?
A: In the shade.

dyeing hair red... hands currently look like i belong on hannibal (sexy)
Here we go again with the idiotic speeches/unprovoked verbal assaults born of the prejudices typical of a mentality that has remained in the Middle Ages. But let's go in order...
This morning a neighbor of mine (70-80 years old, saw me growing up) approaches me and says: "Could you warn others that next week our street will be closed for tree cutting?" (I run an association, together with my sister and my mother, that is responsible for collecting reports about our neighborhood, and then making them available to our neighbors).
Obviously I accept, and as soon as I enter the house, I alert the neighborhood that Mrs. X has informed me that the street will be closed the coming week.
Well, less than an hour later, the same neighbor comes under my windows and starts calling me loudly, demanding to talk to me immediately (even though my sister tells her I am in the shower). Eventually, exasperated, my sister begs me to hear what the lady wants - since she doesn't seem intent on leaving - and I, quite annoyed, go to the window still half soapy and wrapped in my bathrobe.
And here the frenzy begins: the woman starts shouting that I had no right to mention her name (when I warned the neighborhood), that in doing so I violated her privacy, and that - hear hear - she has no intention of being associated in any way: "with someone like you."
Of course, I ask her what she means by saying such a thing, since I have never created any kind of problems (I am something of a hermit because my health has never been the best, since my birth, and the less I go out the better I am - especially when it is sunny and the temperatures touch 104Β° F like the last few weeks). Her response?
"Don't be a goody-goody! Those with that hair (I've been a redhead since birth) are all the same: lecherous, malicious and conflict creators! Just look at how you show up to talk to your neighbors! Shame on you! Now you call the others and say you made it all up; that I didn't tell you anything and above all, don't you ever dare to do such a thing again!".
And off she goes, leaving me in the midst of one of my PA/s crisis and forcing my sister to rushed me to the emergency room because - literally - I convulsed and stopped breathing.
Now I'm back home, pumped full of tranquilizers, wondering how the hell it is possible, in 2023, to still be so retrograde and so closed-minded...
UPDATE:
As I was writing, my neighbor (again her) came to talk to my sister, asking her if she could take my place in the association ("Your little sister clearly can't handle it anymore anyway").
...
I've never seen anyone else talk about this (so maybe this is a thing unique to myself) but I would really, really like to see a light brown/dark blonde mascara at some point in the future that is actually light brown/dark blonde and not just soft black. As a redhead I woukd like a mascara that just makes my natural lashes pop a little and maybe tints them slightly darker but looks natural-ish and doesn't look black and I've yet to find a mascara like that. You'd think that if most drugstore mascara brands have burgundy and royal blue versions of their product they could probably make a light brown version too without too much difficulty, no? Maybe there's just not a market for it.
(I have tried using a few different kinds of blonde brow gels as mascara and they look pretty close to what I'm wanting but they always make my eyelashes hurt at the base when I wear them for some reason, probably because they aren't made for eyelashes I guess)
Anyway..... If anyone has a product recommendation here please let me know
