Hi, I just wanted to talk about reborn dolls for second! People talk a lot about how they can help cope with infertility and miscarriages, but I don’t see much about general mental health!

I have Bipolar 1 Disorder. When in a depressive episode, I struggle to take care of myself or move much at all, but I’m someone with very strong maternal instincts naturally, so seeing a baby makes me feel like I need to take care of her. I’ll rock her and give her her bottle and it helps bring me to a more functional state. I feel like I have to take care of myself so I can care for her. Likewise, my doll helps when I’m in a manic episode by keeping me grounded. I want to run out in the middle of the night to do harmful activities? But Rosie needs me. I want to drink the night before an exam? If I don’t get my degree, how will I feed Rosie?

I just wanted to share my experience with Reborn dolls, and give an example of how they can help people cope with Bipolar 1!
