I made a Mistake*

i had some hand-me-down blank fabric dolls gathering dust, and i wanted to do something fun for myself & my friend to commemorate us finally moving in together, so i decorated these two guys out of stuff i had lying around. the grace is for me & the simon is for them!

i primed the doll bodies (probably muslin fabric? not sure but they're a couple decades old) with mod podge and painted them with some ordinary acrylic paint. the hair is embroidery thread knotted at the scalp. in simon's case, i knotted the hair again at the end of each thread; his hair took two whole skeins of black thread. grace's hair was "gelled" using very dilute mod podge. clothes are fully removable with snaps/zippers etc.

grace's jumpsuit is fully wearable and has embroidered patches! simon's left arm is removable and his necklace is adjustable! and they both have heart-print boxers painted onto the doll bodies (cut a stamp myself)

Since the blackouts were getting out of control, i took the chance to get crafty. It ended in this very silly idea that was surprisingly easy to make! Now i have my favorite lil guy in my room!!! I couldn't be happier!!!!!! 💖💖💖💖
