Aranea the Demon Spider

Not by choice. Neither of us are extremely experienced witches, so please if someone has some advice, please send it our way @backalleyapothecary or @newmoonmagicks or please share.

It all started a couple weeks ago when a group of my friends went on this trail at night. We were set up about 400 ft in, so very close to the entrance. It was about midnight and the frogs were out croaking in droves.

Now, it's good to note that a. This area has always been big spook for myself and the entire group- recurring in dreams, etc and b. This trail, about 2 miles in leads to a cemetary. So anyway we're sitting there having a good time and suddenly it got noticeably darker, even though the moon was still visible and there were no clouds. The frogs stopped croaking. A cold, unfriendly aura crept towards us.

My friend Bunny started walking around, getting close to where the shadows fell across the trail on the far end where it was inky darkness. I got the sense that something was watching us there, just under the cover of the shadows. Apparently both Bunny and Ash had heard shuffling footsteps. We decided it was time to get the fickety fuck out of there and packed up. As soon as we were at the mouth of the trail the frogs started croaking again.

Now flash forward to two days ago. Bunny @newmoonmagicks was up around 12am, went downstairs because she couldn't sleep. On her way back up she heard something outside, a shuffling sound. She brushed it off and continued on her way. As she was laying down, her eyes scanned across her room, which was even darker than it usually is- and she saw him. His head- a deer skull- emerged out of the darkness on a black bear body. He was decidedly masculine, animalistic and inhuman, and dead but not rotted.

Now this is where I would shit my pants, but Bunny had the wherewithal to use her intention to tell him to get the fuck out, and sealed her room with smoke. After this she could hear those same shuffling footsteps going down the stairs.

The next day I came over around 3pm, and he was walking around her brothers room upstairs. We used sage and salt to cleanse and seal the house and rooms, which really really pissed him off. He started banging on the door and pacing in front of the garage, eventually moving up to the balcony where he stayed for a few hours. While he didnt manifest I believe I saw his influence around the property (using wind to pick up objects around where he was). Its good to note that people who aren't magically inclined could also hear his movements.

Following the advice of her dad we made an offering to apologize for crossing his territory. Ants and a full ass coyote were very interested (and almost ate her cat), so we promptly burned the remaining.
