Had a terrible Rujinu/Jinrumi idea based off of this split-second facial expression Jinu has after hearing Rumi sing after Idol. Imagine if instead, this was his reaction to feeling her die, if Celine went through with Rumi’s request.
Given the combined nature of soulmatism and demon nature, there is a really. . . really big chance he probably would've felt her die if Celine had actually gone through with Rumi's request to end her life instead of bailing out on it last minute.
Imagine him there, stuck on that stage not knowing exactly why she died/why she feels like she's dying, yet all the while feeling her life force ebb and flow until it slowly stops.
Imagine him, standing on that stage fearful of the unknown.
Fearful, because he doesn't know what truthfully happened
Fearful, thinking that maybe she may have done something herself and now there's nothing he could do
Fearful, knowing it was all his fault, remembering how he left her when they last met and what he did.
Him wanting nothing more than to just leave. To just go to her, but by the time he can, it's already to late
her souls already gone…and it's taken his with it
