Trying out Procreate

This is #raquet if strigoi never got debilitatingly bred into a caricature of their former glory…

A seemingly miscellaneous group of individuals were forcefully awakened from a trance simulation one day, realising that hundreds of years have passed, and the world as they know it met its end. Now, they strive to survive in ruins of a world they once knew, all the while getting an automated message dream telling them they were meant to “save the world”.

Lianne Raquet— she/they, 24, strigoi (homebrew race), blood hunter.

Raquet’s powers are of mysterious origin. They have the usual powers of any bloodhunter that deals in mutagencraft, however this power seems to come from a living symbiote within their blood which resembles a perpetually smiling blood globule.

Early on, as the party walks the wasteland, a lot is revealed about its members.

In what they refer to as “the Old World”(much like the modern world, but includes magic), Raquet used to live with her long term girlfriend—Madeline, while working as a low level goon for a small “protection agency” run by her two brothers. She reveals that they were not related by blood, but as it turns out they were the only strigoi they knew, and as such rejected the idea of getting adopted.

Raquet also reveals very early on that they always despised their name. Their brothers all made up the last name Raquet and gave eachother names as a symbol of their relationship. However as their protection agency grew, they started dealing in serious crimes, their hubris expanded while they took control over turf, while condemning their sister to work the same dirty work as always.

She did not yet reveal the details, of which she isn’t yet sure, but after getting a panic attack in the streets one day, Raquet suddenly felt possessed, only seeing flashes of gruesome scenes. When she woke up she found that she had killed both her brothers and after that day, she lived with a blood symbiote and the terrifying thought of what it did and why.
