What do you think of class differences for your Masquerade AU? (Like I assume it's modern, correct me if I'm wrong.) The Masquerade could be held by Lucifer anonymously for all classes. And like (ignore please if it's a bad idea) he uses the masquerade as a front for killing people who'd wronged him in the past. (For me class differences means he was from a rich family, he and Michael fought for inheritence, he lost and got kicked out, and he got himself rich again carving out his own 'kingdom')
I didnāt think of this. See, I was going mostly for a āyo itās an Archangel NOT JUST ANY ARCHANGEL THOUGHā thing here, but THAT. I like that.
I might work with this wait up.
Iām just gonna write more of it, now because you all want this to be a thing, apparently, and I am more than okay with that.
Gabriel and Sam are friends and usually attend the masquerades when they happen, but they donāt go together or anything, they just meet up and say hi and then go dance and have fun. So Sam crashes at Gabeās place after the most recent party, since he was a little too under the influence of alcohol to be responsible for himself the night before.
He wakes up on Gabrielās couch and takes a moment to gather himself. Last nightā¦well, last night was great. He chatted with the mysterious masked man andā¦oh hell, he hasnāt seen the manās face and heās already entirely too attracted to him for his own good. When Gabriel comes in to check on him, he can tell that his friend already knows about his little meetings heās been having with the masked man.
Apparently theyād both been absolutely hammered and were sitting like theyād glued their hips together and had just decided to go with it. Gabriel will no doubt tease him in the future thanks to this. Sam groans at the image, his head still aching. Gabe gives him some painkillers and a cup of coffee, all of which he is thankful for.
Gabriel then mentions that he knows the masked man. Sam perks up at this. Apparently, heās the host. The owner of the place. The mysterious benefactor who throws parties, funds well-rounded charities, and has a passion for the arts. A guy who had built himself up from nothing.
A guy supposedly named āLucifer.ā
Not that anyone believes that sort of thing, anyway. What parent would do that to a child? Maybe a bitter one. Who knows? Sam certainly doesnāt, thatās for sure.
Sam, without thinking on it too much beforehand, asks if the masked man is as gorgeous as he sounds. Gabriel rolls his eyes and answers with an enthusiastic, āOh, hells yes, he is. And heās single.ā
Samās definitely interested now.
So Gabriel goes on. The guyās not very social. He tends to appear only at his own parties. Everyone knows him and no one knows him. Heās good at talking and people are charmed by his ways, but he doesnāt over-utilize his more seductive abilities. He has issues with abandonment, but Gabriel suggests that Sam not think to hard on it. āGo forth and conquer,ā he recommends. āJust donāt lead him on. He wonāt hurt you or anything. Heās an honest guy. His honesty can be hard to hear at times, though. Heās a bit ofā¦oh, how do I say itā¦heās like J. Gatsby, a mob boss, and the Phantom of the Opera, all combined into one melodramatic creature.ā
Samās got to take time to think over this.
One month gives him plenty of time, he assumes.
