SINOPSIS: After the death of someone dear all three had parted ways some good and some for the worse
I do not give others permission to translate and/or re-publish my works on this or any other platform
Cold...it's so fucking cold. I’m freezing even though the flames of my brother's vision ignited and is headed straight for me. I'm tired so why not accept fate and let it burn out rather than fade away?
“I was aware of the predicament you were in Kae.” the youngest Ragnvindr told Kaeya as he stared at them shocked not expecting that answer since he knew no...he thought he had hidden it well but was proved otherwise. Not only that but you seem to have reacted differently from how Diluc did. Kaeya continued going who knows where after he recovered from his initial shock.
”Do what you want with that information I couldn't care less about what happens next.” he needed to get himself patched up and some time alone after what had happened with Diluc.
You on the other hand continued to find your eldest brother to have a chat with him. What he did was horrible. Even if Kaeya’s timing to reveal himself as a spy was off he had no right to even lay a hand on him let alone use his vision to try and kill him. He wasn't the only person who lost their father that day. He was your father too. As you were walking you found Diluc leaning against the tree.
“Luc, why would you harm Kae like that? What would father say when he sees his kids fighting-”
“He is a traitor that's what he is. Father shouldn't have taken him in. He doesn't deserve to bear the name Ragnvindr to begin with.” Diluc interrupted you as he turned to leave.
“He didn't have a choice now did he! He was nothing but a kid, you wouldn’t know how it would've felt to have to bear such a burden!” you screamed at him which made him stop all movements.
“I would always hear him cry when he thinks no one is around. Scared of what he is to do-” You were suddenly on the muddy ground with the tip of his weapon against your neck.
“You too do not deserve to bear the name Ragnvindr. You had chosen his side over mine. I wouldn’t be surprised if you had done something just as bad.”
You’re terrified and you want your brothers back even though your brother was there he wasn't the Diluc you knew. No, it was someone with the intention to kill and you are his next target.
You swiftly dodged the attack sent by him daring not to attack one of your only living family members who deems you an outcast. The flames that he sent were endless you had narrowly dodged. You managed to kick his weapon out of his grasp but you had let your guard down making Diluc grab you by the collar of your shirt. He threw you into a tree making the air leave your lungs. You got back up and jumped to the side as he threw the claymore at the tree where you once were a few seconds ago.
You were getting exhausted and weak from the amount of injuries you endured, everything around you was starting to spin. The only thing that caught your attention was a bright red light heading straight for you.
Here you are lying down in the mud as the rain falls on you. Everything hurts and it feels as if every fiber in your body is set on fire then again you’re eldest brother Diluc had a pyro vision. A set of footsteps could be heard not far from where you lay.
“Poor little Ragnvindr, all alone in a cruel world with nowhere to go.” said the oh-so-familiar voice.
A voice that you know too well. The voice of Il Dottore, 2nd of the Fatui Harbinger. You heard of the many things he has done so in the past all being gruesome in many ways it wouldn't be a surprise if he had something to do with your father Master Crepus's death.
As he came closer you started panicking and with the little strength left you lunged at him to try and injure him anything to get him away from you. You wanted to live to see another day. Just to see your friends, your family. You wanted to get out alive you needed to.
But what was there to live for when everything you cared for was gone? No home to go back to and no one else to care for you. Your friends just stayed with you because you’re a Ragnvindr now with that stripped away from you they would want nothing to do with you.
All Dottore had to do was to move to the side to evade your worthless attempt of an attack. How pathetic of you to show weakness just like that. Was all that training just for show?
You fell face-first into the ground. You wanted to cry, scream, anything. You felt as if you were going to explode with all the thoughts swarming in your mind.
“I’m not a Ragnvindr...not anymore,” you muttered making no attempts to get up. You were too exhausted to fight him so why not make it easier and just go to sleep, you’re tired, aren't you?
And with that, you close your eyes allowing yourself to be consumed by darkness.

Day 3. Today marks the third day of your escape. Your escape from the shackles of the warm abode you once called 'home'. Dawn winery, the house you lived in with your family, your caring father, and your two much older brothers, who both adored you more than anything else. That house is the chamber of your childhood memories, holding the most sacred and secular reminisces of the joyful past with your dear spouses.
Now that place was no longer home, it didn't feel like home anymore, only a lavish prison where all you did was cry in your lonesome bed. There was no loving father there to console you anymore. Oh, how you wished he'd suddenly appear out of thin air and offer solace. Pull you into his chest and hug you tightly while his gentle hand combed through your hair. Hushing you and whispering words of reassurance in your ear, not letting you out of his embrace until you've finally calmed down. Like he always did, like he always used to do.
It wasn't only your father who had disappeared. But your brothers as well. As you wept and wailed in his bed after witnessing his death, Diluc and Kaeya were out in the rain, surrounded by the gloomy forest and a suffocating atmosphere. The menacing glares they exchanged radiated a call for battle, urging them to draw their blades and end this fateful night with a signature occasion of despair and sheer regret.
It was only Diluc who returned back home that night. You hadn't the slightest clue where Kaeya went, however, you knew he was gone, you knew he had left, and you knew that you weren't going to see him for a good, long while.
Then it was Diluc's turn to walk out the door, to seemingly vanish from your home. From your life. You didn't even get the chance to exchange a brief glance with each other, and he had already bid his farewells to Mondstate. Leaving you. Alone.
You had practically lost your whole family that dreading night, a night where you all were supposed to be celebrating Diluc's coming of age together.
Elzer, Adeline, and the staff were much too busy taking care of the work Crepus had left behind and had little to no time to comfort you. Though, they did feel immense pity for you, having your life fall to shambles at such a young age... They couldn't even hope to imagine how you felt. So they tried to shower you with gifts instead, but it did nothing, all the gifts were left untouched at the foot of your bed, long forgotten.
You had spent most of your time in your father's room, sleeping on his bed and sobbing into his pillows, trying to convince yourself that he wasn't dead, that it was all but a long night terror. Alas, no matter how hard you tried to fool yourself, the fact still stood that he was gone.
You wanted to leave your house, it felt suffocating, it reminded you of the old days, when everything was fine. When you all lived happily together. It felt agonizing. But you weren't allowed to, Adeline had made it painfully clear. She was scared you might get hurt all on your own, and there was no one to accompany you. You tried to stifle your desire to leave by walking around the city of Mondstate, but it only made the ache in your heart worsen, with the way everyone glanced at you with sorrow flashing in their gaze, murmuring and Whispering words of pity amongst themselves. What made you shutter, however, was Kaeya's obvious and desperate attempts to avoid you. You really had lost everything.
That was the day you decided to put an end to your drowning. The day you decided to run away.
Now you sat down on the moist grass, your back against a sturdy tree as you examined the forest beyond the cliff. Capturing virtual images of every detail you eyed. The pigeon huddled with its children on a branch. How one of the branches on a tree was twisted unusually, resembling a heart. A group of three knights with oil lamps clutched in their probably cold hands, using the illuminating light as a guide to look for something someone.
You leaned your head back against the tree and smiled to yourself, relishing in the soft breeze brushing against your face. Those three tranquil days you spent venturing around the layouts of your home region, running around freely, and sleeping under the watchful gaze of the moon, were the best three days you've ever experienced in your life.
You couldn't feel the invisible hands squeezing your throat anymore. You felt like you could breathe again. You finally felt free.
"Excuse me?" A bright light shined from behind you, inching closer, in sync with the loud footsteps. You knew who it was, and you didn't mind. It was time for you to return anyway, you'll get another chance like this soon, you were certain.
"Yes?" You murmured, peering up at the tall Knight who now stood beside you, raising his lamp high, hence to get a clear look at your features.
"Are you (Y/n) Ragnvindr, by any chance?" He asked. After a few moments of wordless staring, you spoke, tearing your eyes away from the Knight's curious stare to look across the luscious green field one last time.
"Yes."
--
It was quiet. Eerily quiet. You're not sure what you had expected from the residence of the knights of Favonius, but you hadn't thought it would be so void of sound, especially these troublesome days where monsters were at every corner of the land.
You let out a soft exhale as you waited for something to happen. The same tall knight that found you earlier was now sitting before you, glancing at you from time to time.
"Um... when do I get to leave?" You muttered, wrapping the blanket tighter around you.
"A carriage is coming to escort you back home, soon." He replied, sending you a curt nod. You hesitantly nodded back, peering over at the office's window.
You both snapped your head in the direction of the door when you heard the sound of the main doors slam open, followed by frantic footsteps approaching master Jean's office, the one you currently sat in. The knight stood up with his hand clutching the heft of his sword.
The door slammed open, revealing a panic-looked Kaeya, panting heavily with lines of sweat tainting his face. Once he locked eyes with you, he leaped forward and wrapped his arms around you, securing you in a captivating hug. Your eyes dilated as he squeezed you tight.
"Oh my god. You're ok. You're ok. Thank Barbatos you're ok." He whispered, cradling your head with one of his hands. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry."
Your arms slowly raised to reciprocate the gesture, your eyes now brimming with tears.
"I'm sorry I worried you." Your voice wavered.
"Don't apologize, please don't apologize." He inhaled sharply. "Just... don't scare me like that again."
There are certain Genshin characters that I feel as though don’t celebrate Thanksgiving… specifically, Diluc and Kaeya.
I mean, how could they? Their relationship is so tense it’s practically impossible to have them in the same room with one another. It’s kinda sad, actually.
Now I wanna see a Ragnvindr MC celebrating Thanksgiving with Kaeya and Diluc <3
~ooc spooky anon 👻
Yes, I agree. I can't see them celebrating Thanksgiving at all, although technically you could see them having dinner together at the Weinlesefest event could be considered somewhat as a Thanksgiving celebration.
I guess that's the closes we have here in Germany when it gets close to Thanksgiving since it's essentially a celebration of the wine harvest. 🤔
Okay I actually imagine this could end quite funny or Reader would just force them to make up with each other (because, yes, these two idiots need to get along again. Come on!).
Ragnvindr!Reader who would have to be so sneaky about it if they'd want to bring Kaeya and Diluc to sit together at one table.
Ragnvindr!Reader who'd plan something and would tell both Kaeya and Diluc individually to be there without telling them why.
Of course both show up and immediately run into each other. Almost in unison they would ask each other "What are you doing here?!"
Adelinde would have prepared a grand dinner on your orders and already has the table set.
Ragnvindr!Reader makes their brothers sit down and eat together.
The atmosphere in the room would be so thick you'd be able to cut it.
Kaeya and Diluc would start fighting over something trivial like "which wine do you drink for which course?"
Ragnvindr!Reader who would suddenly get in the middle of the argument to lock the room telling them they're not letting them out until they've made up.
"Let us out. We're not magically going to get along again!", Diluc sighed annoyedly.
"Well, certainly not with that attitude, my dear brother."
"He has no idea what he is talking about anyway. Who drinks white calla wine with their dessert. Tch.", Kaeya scoffed.
"The wine discussion is not what I was talking about, you dummies! You know as well as I that this is not what you're ripping each other's heads off for right now... Anyway, I'm not letting you out until you've talked. You still have enough food and water, so we can be here for days if need be. Up to you!"

Making the reader a teen about 15 or 16 which is around 5 years younger then Diluc and Kaeya's age (I've seen most people say they think they're around 20 to 23)
Both of them are extremely over protective. If anything bad happened to you they'd feel super guilty
They both apologize profusely to you (seperatly of course) if you ended up in the middle of them arguing and fighting
You live at the winery with Diluc
Kaeya drinks less for the times that you're in mondstadt. He wouldn't want you to see him drunk
He knows he'd say something that'll upset you.
And he also knows you're aware of the reasons he drinks so much at times :( (Plus Diluc would kill him)
If it starts getting late and your not yet near the winery Diluc's coat is immediately over your shoulders
Since Crepus death it's been really worrying when you see either of them with bad injuries from protecting mond. They always try to reassure you they are fine
Sometimes Kaeya will randomly pick you up to carry or piggyback you. Reminds him of when you were little ♡
Thay usually call you beautiful or princess because that's what you're father had called you most of the time
Hugs from Diluc are always warm which makes them really comforting
If you ever fall asleep at the tavern waiting for Diluc's shift to be over you'll most likely end up at Kaeya's. Though Diluc's reluctant It's a lot easier to have Kaeya carry you to his then for them to wake you and make you walk all the way home
Diluc always tries his best to show you that he'll always be with you when you need him. He understands that you may feel alone sometimes what with the amount of work Diluc has to do
Going back to them being over protective
If you're ever with someone romantically
Kaeya's scary as all hell when he's angry and to most in Mond Diluc already seems pissed off all the time, they trust your judgement in people if course but give glares to you partner that would be enough to threaten Barbatos
(because they have...)
They love you and just want you to be and feel safe... even if they seem a little harsh about it sometimes
remember that brainrot I made of kid Kamisato MC developing their first little crush on Thoma?
If this were kid Ragnvindr MC, who in Mondstadt would be the best candidate? I'm thinking Albedo.
I can imagine you met him through Klee. You're a little older than her but she's a great playmate! Diluc felt reassured to leave you in Albedo's care whenever the winery gets busy and Kaeya isn't around.
Klee brags a lot about her big brother Albedo, naturally you started looking up to him too! I mean, what kid wouldn't be starry-eyed over all the cool alchemy things he does? He draws really, really well too!
This is what you ramble to Diluc and Kaeya in the tavern when they asked you how your day with Klee and Albedo went. With Diluc over the bar and Kaeya sipping his wine, keeping a close eye over the high stool you're sitting on that wobbled with your enthusiasm.
They nod along in amusement, they're glad you're having fun and they're a little guilty for being busy.
Until you mutter, "Klee's big brother is so cool. . ." with a light blush and a far away look in your eyes and then they're freezing up.
It would've been fine if you had another brother figure in your life, but that look on your face? No no no, you're still their little sibling, you're practically a baby! (That's an exaggeration but it's a firm answer for them).
I think if Albedo ever finds out about it, he just goes "I'm honored." and proceeds like usual. Meanwhile, Kaeya and Diluc are desperately trying to show you why you shouldn't have a crush on Albedo (or anyone for the matter. Ever.)
angst???? (Nothing really just vague and confusing lmao),fem!reader, fluff?? (cute and healthy marriage)
pregnancy 😱 idk thats it.
Life has a funny way of taking things right from your grasp, with no guarantees of getting them back. What's better? Forever seeking, fighting for something you cherish? Or moving on and finding a new object of affection that can fill the void in your heart from what was stolen?
...
The creaking of the wooden chair danced with the whispers of the wind through the trees. The woman sitting on it stared into the distance and took a deep breath with a smile faintly placed on her lips.
Her hands sat atop her abdomen, fingers intertwined.
'Peace...' she thought. The view before her was truly beautiful. Her home, in the outskirts of Springvale and near Windrise, over looked the great Windrise tree. The sky was still blue, but as the sun was getting ready to say its goodbyes, it had hints of orange at the horizon. The clouds were pink and looked ever so soft like of you were to fall onto them you have the deepest of sleeps and the sweetest of dreams.
It was all too perfect.
As her chair continued to rock, footsteps approached her.
A hand came behind her and gently placed itself on the side of her face, molding itself against her already heated cheek and she leaned into it's warmth.
The figure moved to lean besides her, crouching to her level.
"Dinner's ready, darling." her husband whispered in her ear.
"We should head in and eat before it darkens."
The hushed and sweet tone of his voice made her giggle, she felt tickle-y.
"No. Let's eat out here, can't you see how beautiful it is?" she complained.
The man smiled gently and pecked the side of her head, while standing upright and heading into the house.
"I suppose I do agree," his voice rang from inside the house. The woman hummed and closed her eyes. She smirked at how incredibly easy her husband caved in. "But even then, I know better than to even try to reason with you, it'd go on for hours. And I dont want you to go through the hassle of getting up." he muttered the last part.
Her brows furrowed and she whipped her head around in an instant to glare at the man who was now behind her, holding a tray of silverware and food assortments.
He sat himself at the chair to the left of hers, placing the food atop of the table between them.
"Im pregnant, not incapacitated." she huffed, removing her hands from her swollen belly and crossing them on her chest.
Her husband chuckled. He raised a spoonful of soup to his lips and blew. When he determined it was the right temperature, he hand fed it to his wife. She stubbornly and jokingly made a face.
"I know that you're very much capable of handling your own needs, but..." he started. His eyes flickered between the metal silverware in his hand and the woman's gorgeous eyes. His hands clenched at the images that began to flash throughout his mind.
She frowned and, as if knowing the millions of thoughts running through his mind, cupped his face to turn him towards her.
Their gazes connected and his form eased up in an instant.
"We just worked so hard to get here, to be able to settle and start a family. We finally have peace, yet I feel so anxious." his voice shook with vulnerableness.
Her eyes were now glossed over with tears at her soulmates confession and took it as the signal to be the strong one in the situation.
"Don't be. We can't be. We must not sit and expect for something tragic to happen, because, archons forbid, if it does, we would have just been miserable. please... be happy, it kills me when you're anything but." she cried out.
The couple had forgotten all about their dinner plans, the delicious home cooked meals began to cool down and the sun had already set.
The two were now wrapped in each others hold, embracing and comforting each other in bittersweet silence.
“They will never take this from us.
Nobody.
We deserve to be happy, we deserve a family.
We’ll always be with her, no matter what.
(Name) is all that matters now.” The woman whispered.
“(Name)?”
“…” …. “Yes.”
……..
