This year has been one of the most transformative years of my life. I’ve found clarity in my purpose, I’ve found a means of pursuing what I love, and have taken solid steps to get to where I want to be. I’ve cultivated friendships with amazing souls who thrive in solidarity for fighting injustice of all kinds. I’ve also lost a foundation I’ve had since birth through a deep resonance of knowing and seeking something greater than what I was seeing around me. I’ve begun a journey of trying to figure out what that looks like. I’ve been humbled by my sheer ignorance, I’ve been shown radiating love by strangers and friends alike. I have seen and experienced much violence by the broken authoritarian system in which we exist, but I’ve also experienced so much love, acceptance, and grace by those who stand against that system in resilience, kindness, and nonviolence. So thank you, world. Thank you to the people who have shown me life unlike anything I’ve experienced before. Breaking off from a world I thought was everything has been the hardest but most rewarding experience of my life as I know it.
