Being that I'm currently estranged from mine (it's in Storage Hell) I had a fuck of a time trying to remember the name and manufacturer details about this unit off the top of my braincase.
I have the orange colorway pictured above. It was a thrifting score I ended up pretty enthusiastic about. I've got really strong memories of this game, as I used to bring it with me all the time to the food bank and play it intensely while downing cup after cup of black coffee, much to the consternation of the (too early morning) tired folks around me.

LAST TIME ON RANGER ACADEMY - Sage and her hot dad are shut-ins on some random moon, which makes the opportunity to go to high school actually sound appealing to her. I guess the fact that the high school makes kids into Power Rangers helped with that, too. Now that she's here, will she realize the perils of the educational system????????

= I will say while one of my major critiques of Ranger Academy is it doesn't do much to stick out as a "magic school" story, I do like how Mathis and Tula, despite being the first people Sage meets from this school, aren't automatically her best friends. Obviously they're still important characters, but as they're older than her, they have their own lives and things to deal with, so they're not going to want to hang out with her all the time. It's not as clear-cut as "they know Sage so they're obviously going to be part of her future team" (though they still may very well be)
= if this was made after Cosmic Fury the "plasma worms" absolutely would have been scuttleworms. I can never be free from them
= it's always Green energy starting this kind of shit
= okay, since it's more or less confirmed that all the heads in the tubes are Ranger alumni, do we have any idea who this is. I'm assuming she's a pink but I....really don't have a clue beyond that. I guess it's....Jen?? But we see Jen in a later issue and she doesn't look like this. But what other pink ranger knows about calibrating doohickeys to space-time
(while the ranger cameos are fun, admittedly they don't have much in the way of personality since their roles are just to be guests that say something teacher-y.)
