I know I don't talk about real-life events on this blog very often but as long as this occupation is happening I strongly encourage my followers to reconsider giving their money to Power Rangers. Haim Saban is a zionist who financially supports the AIPAC and politicians advocating for this genocide, and while there's no clear answer to how much he gets nowadays with Hasbro owning the franchise, his name is still attached, so it's better to be safe than sorry. If you would like to engage in PR content there are plenty of 🏴☠️ sites to use or download links; or limit spending in games like Legacy Wars to in-game currency rather than your own real money.
And in the meantime check out this post with resources to help Gaza and the Palestinian people during this time of crisis.
A slight addition to this, while I still believe you should avoid giving PR your money whenever possible, the BDS would like you to focus maximum effort on these specific companies!
Not putting more money into Haim Saban's pocket is important, but remember to listen to Palestinians and other official representatives.

I guess as I get more and more accepting of Striking Tiger being Once and Always Trini my main thing is wondering what her endgame will be, especially considering we know this series has a definitive end at twelve issues so it'll be something we'll have to start addressing soon. Because as of right now I can only think of three endings:
= She dies for good (unsure about this for obvious reasons)
= She's able to go back to her home dimension (the most "happy" ending but I'm unsure about this because....well....of course I don't want Trini to be dead but when we've now gotten two separate stories about Minh coming to terms with her passing and taking up her legacy, it almost feels...too late to do a "surprise, she's alive!!" switcheroo.)
= She continues her work as Striking Tiger forever (unsure about this in the current timeframe because she's clearly miserable doing it - very understandably. I could see this being the canon ending but it has to come with some kind of closure for her.)
So idk! Every option has some layer of tragedy to it which I'm assuming the writers know and are prepped to deal with, otherwise they wouldn't have made Once and Always Trini Striking Tiger in the first place. We'll just have to see how it's executed
= So I'll just say off the bat Psycho White isn't "anyone" - he's literally a living virus that built himself a body by using the Psycho Rangers as a template. Which ironically is probably closer to what the Psycho Rangers were intended to be in the show before Psycho Path gave them a different backstory. So no complaints from me!
= The big complaint is that this is the issue that sort of shows the weakness in this "new full team made of different Rangers in every issue" formula - depending on how the story is structured some Rangers aren't going to get as much time and space as others. Obviously here Andros and Karone are the "main" Rangers, and Sky gets a little arc that mirrors his show arc.....but Chip and Kendall don't do anything. They didn't even really have to be here at all. In Kendall’s case this isn't so bad since she had a big part in Darkest Hour but I feel bad for Chip fans hoping to see him get a little spotlight, especially when it makes perfect sense to have him on a mission tackling a "ghost". Hopefully the issues after this do a better job balancing focus between all the characters
= But hey, WE ACTUALLY SAW ANDROS/ASHLEY FOR ONCE! Sorry Zhane we had to let heterosexuality win this time
= Speaking of Sky, if I had to nitpick I feel he wouldn't push against Andros like that - I feel he would be too by-the-book to disrespect Andro's authority as a Red leader. I get how they interpreted his character the way they do here, but it's kind of simplifying Sky's attitude down to "he thinks he should be leader!" when it was "he thinks he should be SPD Red because of his seniority, background, and legacy over the street thief Crueger picked up that day." idk, just me though
= In general there are no big lore bits revealed in this issue but Trini's line about living like a ghost and a phantom is a little more support for her being Once and Always Trini. I do kind of wonder what the endgame for this will be though - idk, nothing I can think of right now feels satisfying
= But this will 100% end in a Big Giant Everyone Is Here! fight right
= I honestly forgot the KO-35 citizens were called Korovians. I've just been calling them KO-35ians
and of this list, the only characters to be relevant to each other are Olivia and Selena. Everyone else is in completely different seasons/comics/timelines/whatever and never interact or even have some sort of awareness of each other. Only in The Return can two Power Rangers characters be pregnant at the same time
Found this again and realizing this still applies to Mirella, if you want to count her as Tommy's child. And I guess while you're at it if you want to call Journey a Zack/Trini child it still fucking applies!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Watching Flying Bark do TMNT, Avatar, and Ghostbusters Night Shift. I swear to god Power Rangers were gonna get you a Flying Bark animated project!!!!!!
It's why I can't stand when people won't even entertain the idea of an animated Power Rangers just because toku needs to stay live-action or whatever imagine if we had this level of peak
Finally got around to reading Green…that’s a fun time! A nice hook! What is Alpha hiding?
Also I know it’s ugly but the homemade suit is a fun ugly. I’d buy a toy of it
I felt bad for Pallie because obviously when the homemade suit was first revealed on a cover, I think? people immediately called it ugly and badly designed and.....yeah, that's 100% the intention lol it gave me flashbacks to when everyone called out Ranger Academy for "Sage thinks she's evil because she's Green" when it's made clear multiple times by many characters that Sage is thinking irrationally
And yeah, that's true, Mirella IS confirmed as his descendant in the text through that line. From what I can see that was missed by some readers, probably due to unfamiliarity with the term and Mirella not being fully human, so there's no easy physical connection between the two. I guess we'll just have to see how it's relevant in future issues - her being Tommy's descendant versus her just being a random orphan he found and adopted. The best I can think of is it'll be the explanation for her apparently being so "Grid-tinged" (even if nothing in any canon ever suggested that children of Rangers are affected by that sort of exposure to the power, so idk)
But I really do have to ask where were all these toys games and TV show announcements fifteen years ago. Oh well, better late than never to finally make my Scourge selfship real
We’ll just have to see what MMPR 2026 and Green are planning in regards to the White Ranger powers but regardless it’s funny to me that The Return is the only book to just. not give Tommy the White Light. Whether it’s because Return!Jason retrieved the Green Candle or they managed to recharge the Coin, Tommy’s still Green as an adult because he never got the White Light. I feel that’s a lot less trying to have your cake and eat it too than “Tommy is the Green Ranger and themes everything around green and the Dragonzord but he also mastered the White Ranger powers at some point”
Does Tommy's make-shift vehicle have the sabre tooth tiger head on the front?
If so. Sweet.
I'll be totally honest I'm not sure. I THINK it's supposed to be a tiger - though the White Tigerzord, not the Sabertooth Tiger, since Tommy is confirmed to have mastered the White Ranger powers in this universe
but I guess it's not THE Tigerzord head, as well......besides it obviously being green, I don't think I can reconcile the Dragonzord head being as big as a house versus the White Tigerzord head barely bigger than Alpha-5

LAST TIME ON POWER RANGERS: So this new era of Power Rangers comics seems to be following a pattern of focusing on the MMPRs as adults - starting with The Return featuring the MMPRs thirty years older, we now have MMPR (2026) featuring the MMPRs ten years older and Unlimited featuring Trini twenty-five years older. So who's next? How about Tommy Oliver, older?
What? We did Old Tommy Oliver already? Well, did we do it Logan (2017) style, where he's the last Ranger on a dreary future Earth and caring for a scrappy young girl who might be related to him? Checkmate!
It's Power Rangers Green #1!
= So as said, here's the obligatory Scrappy Young Girl our post-apocalyptic sad old man is caring for - Mirella, who based on outside sources is apparently Tommy's descendant. This is not discussed in this book, but it's interesting to note considering she's clearly not human, or at least not fully human.
(And it was similarly confirmed by the editor on Bluesky that Mirella using sign language comes from her being neurodivergent, not deaf; so I'm choosing to interpret her as non-verbal autistic.)
= So far I don't have much to say about her except that it's cool to have a character who signs. I will admit I'm trying really hard to not see her as Diet Olivia, though. Especially if this somehow ends with her getting Tommy's powers (the Green coin was destroyed in the CGD issue, but come on. When has that ever stopped this franchise)
= oh and Alpha's here too. Hi Alpha! I'm glad you're not Finster.
= Alpha's 100% the kind of guy to say "put up yer dukes" and "lemme attem"
= Let's all get into Grandpa's mid-life crisis car for a fun road trip!
= oh fuck guys they're under attack from one of the Guardians from Breath of the Wild i KNEW i heard some sinister piano playing in the bg
= oh hey Scorpina. She's not named in this issue but like. come on. Who else could this be
= So clearly Scorpina is this series' main antagonist, something that's.....unfortunately a concept that's not really new at this point; she had a similar position in books like Soul of the Dragon, Ranger Slayer, and even the opening arc of the 2016 series. At the very least there's some intrigue in her unknown motivations for targeting magic and Grid users, and I'm hoping that with Goldar as part of the main cast, there will be some acknowledgment of their relationship; something the previous books really didn't touch on outside of like....one anthology story
= hmmmmm I hope one of those "leaders who did not have my best interests at heart" isn't Zordon. I really don't want another "hmmm but what if Zordon actually was a bad mentor??? child soldiers am i right????" type of read on MMPR
= Goldar fucks. And he respects your identity if it lies outside the gender binary
= In general Goldar is the best part of this book so far. Goldar in the 2016 series started out very serious and nuanced before regressing into a full bumbler closer to his show characterization, and this strikes a good balance of the two characterizations
= COVER THEM UP SLUT
= oh never mind bring them back out. It's a good thing Kim's dead otherwise she'd get your ass for this
the Red Censer is the machine chasing Tommy and the gang; the thing I jokingly called a Breath of the Wild Guardian. Scorpina just seems to be in charge of it or controlling it somehow.
I don't expect any twists with the Rangers; they seem to be pretty definitively dead. If they haven't been killed like it's been implied, it's set far enough in the future that they would be dead of natural causes (Tommy is alive far longer than he should be, for some reason)
Oh right. I think I just assumed he was talking about Scorpina (like the Red Censer is an extension of her) and he doesn’t say it for whatever the same reason Scorpina has for not introducing herself by name in her scene.
I’ll be honest I didn’t think much of that line, because it’s just too early in the book to speculate, I think, due to how little we know about this world. And I don’t really know how the Red Censer could even like…be anyone in the first place

Is dino thunder tommy in mighty force? Because i think the interactions between him and the og team would be funny.
He isn’t a playable character, but he’s discussed in the other Mesogog-focused event
The way this is written implies they won’t bring him in to avoid the can of worms of having a past and future Tommy interacting. But this was one of the earliest events, from back before they implemented the Power Pass system, which they use to add repeating suits or alternate versions of characters. So I can see him entering the game that way in the future
The Can You Dig It? event has great Tomberly moments but this one in particular scratches my brain in a specific way that I can’t fully articulate. Sometimes I get the vibe someone on the Mighty Force dev team wants Kim to be the leader so badly

Playmates could do the funniest thing with this Collector’s line by releasing the MMPR variants Hasbro never did in the All-Green Rangers and All-New Rangers
Or if we have to stick with the show can I finally get some goddamn Wild West Ranger toys!!!!!
