In minecraft, I tend to have a book on me that I jot things down in (Coords, people's names, to-do lists etc)

Sometimes I end up making it so my lil blorbo cannonicly has a book too and I just made a texture pack for my Q56s book so here are my book thoughts for my MC OCs (+ pictures!)

how did they get into the whole battles and competitions thing?

mmmmmmm

so cobalt [and me by extension] is absolutely shit at fighting. they have been in so many worlds and have attempted to learn from a handful of people but it never seems to click in their brain how it works.

but at the point in time where they end up fighting, they are desperate, and following a lead. their brother, back when they knew him, had always been a fighter. he was the one who tripped them up in every practice spar. he was good at strategy and tried to teach them that before he was gone.

and a lot of the time after they'd lost him, they were just focused on surviving, on growing up, on existing. but of course when they heard that he was a regular at the colosseum they decided to try and find him, as a fighter.

yvain- was just someone who needed fighters, in some ways he was desperate too. desperate enough to pick up and sponsor cobalt liminal, who could barely throw a punch. and sure some part of it was promises of training, of getting better. but a decent amount of it for him was just biding time to get someone who could actually fight worth a damn. lim was always temporary to him, like yvain was just a means to an end for them.
