So in cannon Quixis cannonicly talks with a bit if a glitch 'filter' over their voice, you'll notice that is never brought up in UCW.

At first, it was because I just... straight up forgot to add that detail in😅

The original plan was to give Quixis the glitchy voice and play it out like their voice was glitchy, but also sounded like multiple people were speaking through them, try to show that they also have the Entitys voice and thats why its glitchy.

The Entity doesnt technically have a physical form (or mouth outline) thus no vocal chords, so it would have spoke through Quixis. Not in a "Quixis would start saying things out of their control" but more of a, "Quixis and the Entity are 2 halves of a being, but the vessels are the ones with the voice".

I scrapped the idea of trying to fit it in and left it normal, so Sherbs still keep their voice. Another reason i scrapped it was in hopes that it would add to the ominous horror vibe.

Now why doesn’t the Entity speak?

Again, its has no physical form, so no vocal chords. But its way of communicating is a little tricky to explain, but i hope it makes sense...

Think of the connection between The Entity and Quixis like a bunch if strings...

That sensation they get (ie Midas' neck getting chills), when in contact or they know they're being watched by The Entity, is one thread/string.

The Entity recognises this and thinks, "OK, so this is the string you associate with me, I'll use the same string for you", so it tugs back on that thread to "talk" to them. The harder the tug, the sharper the feeling, almost like its way of yelling, being firm.

Now its not every time Midas feels the chills that its the Entity tugging on the thread (most of the time it is just general chills and uneasiness) but it does use this "sensory thread" to communicate.

It is an unpleasant feeling for Quixis, but its not its intention to hurt them, again, this thread is picked via association. It doesnt fully grasp that it is a more bad thing for Quixis because the Entity doesn't feel (both physically and emotionally) like the vessels do - at least not in the same way. Its logical, purpose and practical, to use this thread, a thread Quixis already associates with them, is just a logical desicion for it.

Now, for the voice claim...

If it did talk, I imagined a heavily, distorted, glitchy voice (in a high fancy production view, if you listened close enough youd hear the voices of all the different Sherbs speaking and at certain points you could pick out a specific one more than the others) and when i thought, "Eldritch/cosmic horror, glitchy voice", my first thought was The Soverigns from Redacted Audios videos...

The "your belief is irrelevant" line, is the first thing that played in my mind when I was thinking of its voice...

The Entity still wouldn't have a visible mouth, but I imagine its aura outline would flicker and get a little brighter as it spoke.

(Also fun fact, someone did an edit to this audio and I used it in a tiktok when cosplaying Icarus and Mixis and explained this was my voice claim for Quixis - this was way before we knew anything about them)
